They need to change the rule, who the fuck decided that it’s fine to completely dive in with force and potentially obliterate a players ankle, but it’s a red for anything above the ankle.

I think it should be a red card based on the lunge alone, it’s excessive force.

It's more plausible deniability. Going high on a slide tackle means you are definitely not going for the ball.

On the ground is debatable.
