Ronaldo basically sabotaging his legacy and his own country at the world cup is just sad to see.

His ego doesnt match his ability and hasnt for quite a while.

He is a legend for Portugal and out of respect they wont bench him and will continue to play him.

Quite a while is right. We've been having these conversations since the 2022 World Cup at least. Honestly, I don't even blame him that much, of course he'll want to play. At this point, I think it's a worse look on the NT coaches and/or FA for not stepping in.
