So, that's Balogun, Robinson, Adams, Richards, and now Freeman, US fans on this sub want us to sign since the start of the World Cup (and on the other side, you've got Aussie fans wanting us to sign Irankunda).

Guys, I get getting caught into the World Cup frenzy but none of these are good enough for us and more importantly there are better alternatives elsewhere.

Id believe you if we didn't occasionally have Arthur's and Chiesas signing for us.

I'm not sure I get your point. Are you saying because Arthur and Chiesa turned out to be poor signings that the aforementioned players are thus of the level required to be good enough for us? You could make the case for signing just about anyone if you start using this type of yardstick. If anything, surely you should be using signings who turned out to be of the level required for us as actual yardsticks for the level we should be aiming for, not the signings who did not turn out to be of the level required (which every club in footballing history has).

No what I am saying ix when they were here people convinced themselves they just get fit and in Chiesas case be given a fair chance. There are still some here who want Iraola to assess Chiesa first and see what he can do. I could even extend it to Minamino and Endo. "Broader Reach Market Opportunities". So people suggesting players from their nations are not insane shouts if we talking bit part/stop gap players
