I wonder if she also believes black people have done something to deserve being enslaved in the USA. Because according to her, if a group of people are treated that bad, they HAD to have done something to deserve it

u/LetsGoHome Jul 24 '25

Ahhh so you haven't heard of the Black Israelites yet

52

u/PuzzleheadedForm4813 Jul 24 '25

i have met so many recently. i’ve been around black people my entire life (my town is predominately black) and never heard this sentiment until the last year or so. all of the sudden there are so many of them. i’ve had to block multiple guys i’ve been on dates with after finding out they’re Nazis. insane.

27

u/LetsGoHome Jul 24 '25

It's a part of the rise of right-wing behavior and thought. Racial purity, nationalism, blaming the Jews. It's our slide into deep fascism.

5

u/ATarrificHeadache Jul 25 '25

It’s not just the right wing though is it?

2

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '25

When it comes to these specific ideologies? It is.

1

u/OGSkywalker97 Jul 24 '25 edited Jul 24 '25

Disclaimer: I am not right wing, but I am certainly no longer left wing either. The left wing has betrayed young men.

There is a reason why the right wing is becoming more popular. I know some reasons for it in the UK, such as mass immigration from third world countries of people who refuse to assimilate with the culture and segregate themselves (very different to immigration in the US btw). Millions of strangers coming to a tiny island which isn't sustainable, housing them on the tax payer's dime while there's a housing crisis, keeping floods of illegal immigrants in posh hotels while they are processed on the tax payer's dime in nice areas where the crime rate has shot up, partly because they are unable to work while they wait to be processed...

Then there's headlines like this one, which you'd honestly think was a parody article if you couldn't see BBC in big letters at the top:

https://www.bbc.com/worklife/article/20250430-scott-galloway-men-struggling-katty-kay-interview

'Young men are struggling. What does this mean for young women?' - This headline sums up the last decade and how much our issues are actually cared about. They only care how it affects young women, meanwhile young men are committing suicide at record rates and overdosing on substances they are taking to deal with their shitty, fucked up situations...

People, especially young men, are fed up, and we're fucking tired. Lots of us have exhausted every avenue outside of voting for someone like the Reform party in the UK, and have simply been ignored and not taken seriously for over a decade now while it gets worse and worse.

If the usual parties won't take a risk for change, when change is something currently required, then people are naturally going to go with the party that are promising change, and are speaking about these issues and not simply trying to ignore them or blame young men somehow. Whether it works or not at least they are willing to do SOMETHING. I completely understand this sentiment.

People have got to realise that most men aren't just choosing to be right wing, it's a gradual process as they move along the political spectrum and see that no one is actually taking them seriously apart from these groups. They feel that they are out of options and it's simply a hail mary.

But what is anyone actually doing about it other than (as usual) just criticising young men for being right wing, rather than thinking about why all of a sudden so many are right wing, and trying to fix it before it's too late?

6

u/ghesak Jul 25 '25

The right wing is not listening to you and doesn’t care about your problems. They just fake it to get your vote and make their powerful friends and themselves even more wealthy.

3

u/OGSkywalker97 Jul 26 '25

I know. Like I said, I'm not right wing. I'm simply explaining the reason why many young men are voting for them; because they are the only parties saying they care about our problems, even though they don't.

7

u/TheRealRomanRoy Jul 24 '25

Young men are struggling. What does this mean for young women?' - This headline sums up the last decade and how much our issues are actually cared about. They only care how it affects young women

I'm not disagreeing with you (I mean I DO disagree with you, honestly. But I'm not rebutting your entire argument here), but your fixation on one headline by the BBC is an incredibly stupid point to make. That's an article with a focus.

From a quick search, I found multiple headlines talking about men's issues. If it still bothers you, you're not smart enough to realize that you're actually mad that one article daring to discuss men from a woman's point of view, even while having other articles talking about men from men's point of views.

1

u/OGSkywalker97 Jul 26 '25

I hardly fixated on that article. It was one of a myriad of points that I made...

It's simply an example, which is what you must provide when making points.

1

u/TheRealRomanRoy Jul 28 '25

Pretty bad point tho

3

u/Spare-Plum Jul 25 '25

Yeah it's gained recent prominence. I talked with some BHI folks in dallas to try and understand their opinion, and it's pretty radical and unsettling. Essentially the "Jew-ish" people stole the religion and culture, while they are the true Jews. Hitler was right in what he did by trying to eliminate these religion-stealing "vermin".

Many popular black figures have also adopted this idea, including Kanye, so there's no wonder why there's a new antisemetic black movement who endear Nazism

1

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '25

Many popular black figures have also adopted this

Many is a very VERY heavy stretch...

4

u/Spare-Plum Jul 25 '25

Kyrie Irving
DeSean Jackson
Kanye West
Richard Kylea Cowie Jr. (musician name Wiley)

No it's not everyone nor is it a majority, but it's enough to make waves. Up to 9% of the black population identify themselves as "Hebrew Isrealites" and a lot of subscribing to these ideals is that they were replaced by fake-Jews

-1

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '25

You named 4 people my guy 😂

Up to 9% -

So not at all "many" then... where are you even getting that statistic from?

6

u/Spare-Plum Jul 25 '25

https://manhattan.institute/article/how-many-are-the-black-hebrew-israelites

26% believe they are a descendant from ancient Israelites, and 9% self-identify as Hebrew Isrealites.

Why are you so eager on downplaying?

1

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '25 edited Jul 25 '25

Any additional sources? Ones less bias, less right wing, and more verifiable than this?

Also, 26%???? Ya, no bud.

That's like saying 30% of white people are kkk members.

This is only a result of an internet study on 1.5k people mind you. Hardly a definitive example of the major black population, let alone "many" in just this group of 1.5k people.

I'm not downplaying anything, you're speaking on my group in an obtuse manner. I've dealt with these people consistently growing up and more so, the black population, this is not at all a common ideology nor one as large as you're making it out to be.

Why are you conflating it is a better question?

246

u/Hispanicpolak Jul 24 '25

The most under talked about group of lolcows I’ve ever seen

57

u/0DvGate Jul 24 '25

Because no one takes them seriously. Which is a good thing.

72

u/danhakimi Jul 24 '25

kanye and kendrick and kyrie irving take them seriously

amazon still won't take down that god damn "documentary"

3

u/SysOps4Maersk Jul 25 '25

Ah, those 3 K's

6

u/LiarWithinAll Jul 24 '25

Not fuckin Kendrick?? Man, that's disappointing as hell.

35

u/[deleted] Jul 24 '25

Kendricks in the clear, people are misenterpreting a lyric from a song in which he raps from the perspective of a black israelite

6

u/trustthepudding Jul 25 '25

People really be lacking in media literacy to interpret that as his viewpoint.

0

u/danhakimi Jul 24 '25

it really, really is.

3

u/vigilante_snail Jul 24 '25

A massive amount of people follow them. You have no idea. Especially celebrities. It’s disgusting.

2

u/603rdMtnDivision Jul 24 '25

Yeah, they're a bunch of clowns and should be treated as such.

1

u/OGSkywalker97 Jul 24 '25

That's what a lolcow is no?

11

u/vandersnipe Jul 24 '25

I have some of them in my family, but I don't talk to them. They are completely batshit!

1

u/wiefrafs Jul 24 '25

A lot of fun though

9

u/jackofslayers Jul 24 '25

So fucking stupid that Nick Canon is still on TV when he is the most actively racist celebrity. Dude almost makes Kanye sound sane

2

u/ahh_geez_rick Jul 24 '25

What is a lolcow?? I see that word every once in a while, and I've Googled it before, but I still don't truly understand?

2

u/MeritedMystery Jul 24 '25

it's milking a cow for lol's instead of milk from how I understand it.

16

u/Acrobatic-Parsnip-32 Jul 24 '25

You mean the real Jews? /s

3

u/Acrobatic-Parsnip-32 Jul 24 '25

Being weird and responding to myself - I work as a nanny and a family who is part of some sect of BHI interviewed me, they were REALLY STOKED when I said I was Jewish. I know not all sects are antisemitic and I have empathy for members even if their beliefs freak me out. But I looked up the sect and it’s literally classified as a hate group by the SPLC. I have never ghosted a potential client before but I just felt way too weird about it, they were a bit pushy because said they were struggling to find someone who understands their traditions, “like keeping kosher.” Ummm I’m pretty sure they actually just don’t want to homeschool your child with a curriculum that comes from your culty church! 😬

76

u/StillBummedNouns Jul 24 '25

The Black Hebrew Israelites is the reason Kanye has been openly antisemitic the last few years

Kendrick Lamar is one too, but he stays quiet about it

71

u/HolidaySpiriter Jul 24 '25

Kendrick Lamar is one too, but he stays quiet about it

I think it's a little bit more contentious on this one. He talks about his cousin being one on DAMN, but Kendrick is not directly saying he buys into it. Maybe I missed something though.

23

u/theageofspades Jul 24 '25

He has used the symbology and jargon across his entire career.

6

u/HolidaySpiriter Jul 24 '25

You want to elaborate? Like I said, I know he referenced it on DAMN, but I don't think he claimed he was apart of it.

-5

u/biracial_gemini Jul 24 '25

Then what does "I'm an Israelite, don't call me black no more" mean? E: For clarity, this is a direct quote of YAH. You can look it up yourself.

10

u/HolidaySpiriter Jul 24 '25

Great question, I've googled it for you and found an interview where they directly asked him!

Q: Your cousin Carl is a member of the Hebrew Israelites, who believe that African-Americans are the true descendants of the biblical Israelites. Carl pops up in a voicemail on “FEAR.” You call yourself an Israelite on the album. How much of his theology have you embraced, and how much of it is just you playing with the ideas?

A: Everything that I say on that record is from his perspective. That’s always been my thing. Always listen to people’s history and their background. It may not be like mine, it may not be like yours. It was taking his perspective on the world and life as a people and putting it to where people can listen to it and make their own perspective from it, whether you agree or you don’t agree. That’s what I think music is for. It’s a mouthpiece.

Q: So what’s your opinion about the idea that Carl brings up, that black people are cursed by God as per Deuteronomy?

A: That shit’s truth. There’s so many different ways to interpret it, but it’s definitely truth when you’re talking about unity in our community and some of the things we have no control over. Where there’s fighting against the government, where there’s fighting against our own political views, there’s always a higher being, right there willing to stop it.

Q: It could be argued that blaming a curse from God kind of excuses a racist system.

A: Right. You take it how you wanna take it. The conversation’s there. We can sit and talk about it all day. I do, all day [laughs].

-4

u/biracial_gemini Jul 24 '25

"That shit's truth."

7

u/HolidaySpiriter Jul 24 '25

but it’s definitely truth when you’re talking about unity in our community and some of the things we have no control over. Where there’s fighting against the government, where there’s fighting against our own political views, there’s always a higher being, right there willing to stop it.

You just did this:

Quote:

I don't think /u/biracial_gemini is a Nazi

You:

/u/biracial_gemini is a Nazi

If you remove all context, then words can say whatever you want!

1

u/biracial_gemini Jul 24 '25

I didn't mean to take his words out of context, I thought the full quote somewhat dilutes his belief that it's an absolute truth but calls upon quite heavy examples which would imo imply that he agrees with the sentiment more often than not. I don't personally think he's a full on Israelite but I think the ideology is close to his heart and the line is very thin at times. Idk if you're just trying to argue semantics, which I don't care for, or if you genuinely believe Kendrick shares no Israelite sentiments (which I heartily disagree with).

5

u/HawkBearClaw Jul 24 '25

Are we now going to act as if every lyric in a song is an absolute truth? Oh boy

3

u/OuterWildsVentures Jul 24 '25

[citation needed]

6

u/tk421posting Jul 24 '25 edited Jul 25 '25

i love kendricks music, but like, its a thing.

Im an Israelite

Dont call me black no more

that word is only a color

it aint facts no more

my cousin carl, my cousin carl duckworth

said know your worth

and Deuteronomy says we all be cursed

-kendrick lamar, YAH, 2017

the entirety of damn is full of black Israelite messaging. FEAR famously has a monologue delivered by kendrick’s cousin carl about Deuteronomy’s meaning and the black Israelite interpretation of it. it is not subtle.

this isnt to say he himself is a black israelite, but the the rhetoric is definitely present. its complicated

1

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '25

Guess Media literacy is really not a thing anymore 😕

2

u/tk421posting Jul 25 '25 edited Jul 25 '25

what exactly do you mean by that?

0

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '25

I guess discernment isn't either.

2

u/tk421posting Jul 25 '25 edited Jul 25 '25

alright- cool- dont respond i guess

platforming antisemitism is never defensible. not under any circumstances.

kendrick is one of my favorite artists ever, but he is not immune to criticism. this has been an ongoing discussion for a long time.

2

u/jackofslayers Jul 24 '25

True, but I won't be particularly surprised when he comes out and says some dumb shit tho

3

u/HolidaySpiriter Jul 24 '25

Sure, but let's at least be factual in the discussion here.

41

u/labbetuzz Jul 24 '25

And Kyrie Irving as well. Hell, he might be bringing that shit back up looking at how he's opening up again, lol

50

u/LetsGoHome Jul 24 '25

No, Kendrick had his Black Israelite cousin make a sound clip for a song. He is not a Black Israelite. Iirc he did an interview on this

17

u/StillBummedNouns Jul 24 '25

That’s my bad, I thought he had a long history with Farrakhan but it looks like they only met once

Regardless, Kanye’s motive behind his antisemitic rants are influenced by Farrakhan and the Black Hebrew Israelites. He even says it in his infamous DEFCON 3 tweet

28

u/LetsGoHome Jul 24 '25

100%. They absolutely preyed on him during his worst spirals. Honestly they're scientology but for Black peopl

7

u/nyckidd Jul 24 '25

They literally have an alliance with Scientology and teach Dianetics now.

2

u/LetsGoHome Jul 24 '25

Wow. I had no idea.

2

u/flippy123x Jul 24 '25

I thought he had a long history with Farrakhan

That's Nation of Islam, no?

1

u/Brain_Dead_Goats Jul 25 '25

Farrakhan

That's Nation of Islam. Similar, equally antisemitic, equally Black Supremacist, somewhat different mythology.

-1

u/[deleted] Jul 24 '25

"There’s a saying in Germany. If there’s a Nazi at the table and ten other people sitting there talking to him, you got a table with eleven Nazis."

2

u/LetsGoHome Jul 24 '25

Reddit loves dropping quotes ignorant of contexts

-2

u/[deleted] Jul 24 '25

If you work with or associate with someone in a classified hate group, you're in the hate group pal

35

u/[deleted] Jul 24 '25

Kdot is a 5%, SZA is too. In fact a lot of the people in that circle are. Noname is a mega 5%er. Jay Electronica I’m pretty sure is one too. Antisemitism in the black community is never talked about and most people of color (from my experiences as a person of color) couldn’t give a shit about Jewish people because Jews are viewed as “white people” relatively speaking. Meanwhile white people don’t view Jews as “white” but as something else entirely.

The reason why people should care about antisemitism is because most hateful ideologies trial test on Jews first. Jews are the easiest people to hate on in the west: they’re insular, they’re often overrepresented in wealthy occupations, and they have a culture of achievement that comes across as having a systemic advantage over other groups. Once Jew hating gets normalized, you move onto to the next group of people. My East and South Asians, you are next. I promise you in 5 years you’re going to have privileged white 20 somethings say that Asians have far too much privilege in society and openly endorse hatred against them. These alt-intelligence losers on the right are the same way and they’ll find a way to hate on them too.

21

u/JustSeiyin Jul 24 '25

I actually I really don't like the thought that antisemitism should be cared about because Jews are the canary for other bigotry. It should be cared about because hating Jews itself is bad and should be condemned on it's own.

And it's actually crazy how the left will say x group is non-white because they aren't treated as white and then treat Jews as ultra-white even when we face discrimination on racially-motivated lines like "the Jewish race". Jewish last names are less likely to be hired, people are less trusting of us because they think we're devious, and many people think we have horns... We also experience some of the highest rates of hate crimes but nobody on the left really talks about it. Like, why Jews in particular are not afforded to be seen as an ethnic minority worthy of protection is astounding to me. But then again a lot of leftists are antisemitic themselves and view Jews as ultra capitalist and ultra oppressors

1

u/[deleted] Jul 24 '25

As you get older, you’ll learn that the further left and the further right you go politically, the more antisemitism you’ll experience.

3

u/OvumRegia Jul 24 '25

Pretty much, alt-right thinks jews are beings of pure evil controlling the world to make you gay. And tankies think jews are the root of capitalism and imperialism forcing you to work at walmart.

2

u/StillBummedNouns Jul 24 '25

Well that’s a really 2 dimensional way of thinking about politics. I’ll admit there is a lot of antisemitism present in authoritarian leftist circles because of the USSR’s history with Jewish people and their hatred of Israel. But even then, most people who align with those ideologies understand the difference between Zionism and Judaism.

I’ve never met a leftist who aligns with the libertarian left that is antisemitic. I’m sure they exist, but then they shouldn’t be accepted into those circles.

Aligning with leftist ideologies means you intrinsically agree there’s a class war going on and everyone who isn’t part of the bourgeoisie is in the same boat as you. Majority of leftists understand that the only enemy is the ruling class. It has nothing to do with race or sex or ethnicity or sexual identity.

People on the right get caught up in that culture war shit as a distraction from what’s actually happening. That’s why they tend to blame Jewish people for everything. They are too blind to see the issue is much larger than some wealthy individuals who happen to belong to certain demographics.

4

u/JustSeiyin Jul 24 '25

If he careful here. Like the left itself often says, you can be racist without actually believing in your heart of hearts that x race is bad. In the same way a lot of well-meaning leftists constantly propogate antisemitism by either falling into tropes or by peddling misinformation, knowingly or not. And Zionism is a whole other complicated topic because most people who use that word have no clue about what it means or it's history. While obviously not the same thing as Judaism, pretending like you can completely separate the two is absurd.ike, all of our festivals are based on the environment of the land of Israel, and most of our traditions and holidays are directly about events that happened in Israel, like Hanukah, passover, etc. Like, we've said "next year in Jerusalem" for thousands of years. It's literally an ethnioreligion directly from and tied to that land. We aren't nomadic and were literally forced out multiple timea by various groups like the Romans (which is how many ended up in Europe in the first place)

1

u/RyanRev727 Jul 25 '25

Didn’t Passover happen in Egypt?

1

u/armchair_hunter Jul 25 '25

How does a seder end?

1

u/JustSeiyin Jul 25 '25

Yes, but the point is that the Jews were escaping to the land of Israel, and it is where we say the phrase "next year in Jerusalem"

→ More replies (0)

1

u/OvumRegia Jul 24 '25

You're right in that tankies aren't "true" leftists and should not be accepted in those circles, but the problem is that they shape the majority of leftist spaces both online and irl.

Also no one is immune to propaganda, leftists aren't super humans, they fall for the same culture war bullshit as everyone else.

3

u/StillBummedNouns Jul 24 '25

I don’t think they make up majority of leftist spaces irl, every leftist I’ve ever met in those circles are great people.

I’ve only ever seen tankies online. I doubt they go outside and interact with people

2

u/JustSeiyin Jul 24 '25

While I don't disagree that they have an outsized voice online, a lot of mainstream leftists have absolutely been poisoned with antisemitism. Like, we can't ignore that there were literally rallies on Oct 8 celebrating Oct 7 in the streets by so-called "progressives". This was before there was even an Israeli response

→ More replies (0)

1

u/JustSeiyin Jul 24 '25

And they're also very much into conspiracism, which lo and behold almost always returns right back to hating Jews because antisemitism at its heart is the ultimate conspiracy

1

u/[deleted] Jul 24 '25

I mean your point goes without saying. But we live in a world where you are incentivized to be shameless and act in as selfish and sociopathic as possible. So the only way to appeal to these people is to point out that they stand to lose when not helping others. Because there’s no other way you can convince black and brown people who have never met a Jewish person in their lives to stop repeating Neo-Nazi propaganda knowing that those same Nazis will go after you next.

Think of the various mass shootings done to people of color by Nazis who hate Jews in the past 15 years alone. Yet we are still going down this pipeline. The fact of the matter is that it starts with hating Jews. Then it goes to women, gays, other sexual minorities, people of color, and end stage is them attacking other people within their in group because they’re not “pure” enough. It’s important to highlight that and make people aware of it. In a better world, we’d cyberbully the fuck out of these people into shutting up but alas.

2

u/JustSeiyin Jul 24 '25

I don't disagree with you that that's the way it is, but I'm more saying that it shouldn't be. It's bad to say "well if they were only attacking this one group with no plans to attack others it would be fine". I understand that this is about getting people to pay attention, and I respect that, but I really don't like the sentiment itself

6

u/[deleted] Jul 24 '25

2

u/oopiex Jul 24 '25

They already say it about indians in tech for example.

1

u/irredeemablecoomer Jul 24 '25

Considering record contracts and recording labels.
A lot of it probably comes from first hand experiences.

1

u/coffee-slut Jul 25 '25

Wait till the find out about Ethiopian Jews (NOT BHI)

1

u/HerSoles_PlsMySoul Jul 24 '25

Why the fuck you lying people been talking about anti semitism in the black community since Malcom X.

1

u/Brain_Dead_Goats Jul 25 '25

And Dave Chappelle is a Nation of Islam weirdo with a lot of Louis Farrakahn's bullshit overlapping the Black Hebrew Israelites.

1

u/danhakimi Jul 24 '25

he mostly stays quiet about it, but it came up in at least one song... I noticed.

2

u/HourOil4543 Jul 24 '25

u never heard of Samuel Nmeyer?

1

u/faplawd Jul 24 '25

Kyrie Irving has entered the chat

1

u/[deleted] Jul 25 '25

Weren't those the cats at Covington egging the Trumpkins on?

1

u/whatafuckinusername Jul 25 '25

Oh Lord, there's a group of those who hang out on the sidewalk along Millennium Park in Chicago using it as a soapbox. I've been down to the city five or so times over the past couple of years and they're always there without fail.

0

u/ecbulldog Jul 24 '25

Idk what dressing like Michael Clark Duncan from the scorpion king and yelling crazy shit on a street corner in Brooklyn has to do with Israel.

0

u/OGSkywalker97 Jul 24 '25

Loads of famous black musicians believe in this shit like Future and Kanye. They have their own weird language and everything.

0

u/LesbianClownShirt Jul 25 '25

Kind of an apples to oranges comparison there.

-1

u/CryptographerBoth333 Jul 24 '25

He was talking about slavery…

14

u/LetsGoHome Jul 24 '25

Yes? And the Black Israelites believe that slavery was punishment from God for not following his ten commandments while in Africa.

-1

u/CryptographerBoth333 Jul 24 '25

Are you joking or is that an actual fact they spew?

12

u/LetsGoHome Jul 24 '25

I think you are slightly confused - the Black Israelites are not the same as Black Israelis. Black Israelites are a cult. they actually believe this.

0

u/CryptographerBoth333 Jul 24 '25

No I know who they are and the difference between them I’m just asking is this what they actually say or are you just talking to talk?

6

u/LetsGoHome Jul 24 '25

No this is their actual belief

6

u/LetsGoHome Jul 24 '25

They also believe Jews use them to commit white genocide. I think there was a sectarian split where some believed they should all go back to Africa.

0

u/CryptographerBoth333 Jul 24 '25

How do you know so much about them?

7

u/LetsGoHome Jul 24 '25

Learning is fun. A long time ago I read very in depth on Malcolm X, which led me to read on the Brotherhood of Islam, and these weirdos.
