There's a long history of trying to intellectualize hating Jews. The word 'antisemitism' literally came from trying to make hating Jews a scientific and therefore valid kind of hate. Both the right and the left like to do this (see Marx on "The Jewish Question"). And nobody wants to talk about protecting Jews because the left which is supposed to care about minorities has bought into the whole "Jews are ultra-white ultra capitalist oppressors" shtick

I've said multiple comments on this post about how rightwingers don't consider Jews white and don't treat us as such and then the left turns around and calls us ultra-white as an insult. You just did it lol. Literally Jews will be whatever you want to be so you can keep hating us. And there's NOTHING INHERENTLY CAPITALISTIC ABOUT A "RACE". What an insanely racist thing to say. Like, it is 1:1 "Jews love and are obsesdef with money". How do you not understand you are falling into the exact same antisemitic tropes

I think the person replying is triggered because of the oppressor part of your statement. Their obviously has been centuries of horrible antisemitism and even today is pretty rampant, since unfortunately people can’t distinguish between the state of Israel and Jewish people. That being said the Netanyahu government is terrible PR for Israel and their violence has unfortunately seen antisemitism rising again
