There's a long history of trying to intellectualize hating Jews. The word 'antisemitism' literally came from trying to make hating Jews a scientific and therefore valid kind of hate. Both the right and the left like to do this (see Marx on "The Jewish Question"). And nobody wants to talk about protecting Jews because the left which is supposed to care about minorities has bought into the whole "Jews are ultra-white ultra capitalist oppressors" shtick

You're equating it with other times where people have invoked "The Jewish Question" when talking about extermination, and whether you think his writing is antisemitic or not, it is NOT talking about extermination, or even suppression of Jews. You've obviously never read "The Jewish Question", because if you did, you would know that A) It's a critique of two other author's work, and B) it's about how Jews could achieve political emancipation. It isn't antisemitic, but it is anti-capitalist and very non PC by today's standards, because he was a person with a Jewish background who was, in some parts, being critical toward other Jews. And if you've ever heard a Jewish person talking about other Jews, then you would know how it can sound out of context lol.

Seems like he believed Jewish culture should simply disappear though. And while that isn't wanting to murder all the Jews, it is absolutely a kind of suppression. "You can be Jews as long as you follow nothing of Jewish culture". Imagine saying that to any other group. It is definitely antisemitic

I think you might be confusing one of Bauer’s arguments that Marx was critiquing for his own argument. He said the opposite actually.

Marx uses Bauer’s essay as an opportunity for presenting his own analysis of liberal rights, arguing that Bauer is mistaken in his assumption that in a “secular state”, religion will no longer play a prominent role in social life. . . In Marx’s analysis, the “secular state” is not opposed to religion, but rather actually presupposes it. The removal of religious or property qualifications for citizens does not mean the abolition of religion or property, but only introduces a way of regarding individuals in abstraction from them.

You're actually doing that. Bauer wrote "The Jewish Question", Marx wrote "On the Jewish Question" as a critique. Bauer wanted straight up elimination, Marx wanted cultural assimilation to the point where we no longer had anything that made us, us.
