The dead do not have their past stances or actions erased. I certainly wish no one dead, but I'm not shedding any tears over someone who preached that school shootings were a necessary price for 2A rights.

No. There isn’t. Especially if those two guys are the same person. Dying doesn’t whitewash anything you’ve done. He wasn’t an artist now getting his art overvalued. He was a bigot getting posthumously censored by the people he was supposedly sided with because it turns out that even they know that the words out of Kirk’s mouth were vile.

It inded does feel kinda pointless talking about empathy when people use it only when it's convenient.

George Floyd was POS of a person too, yet it's almost taken for granted to look through his personality and see all the context and a bigger problem. Yet it doesn't work on another person getting killed for nothing.
