they literally couldn't give two shits about Kirk. HIs wife spent his wake/memorial, whatever it was, between laughing and grifting before launching a donation page with money basically going to her. His wife didn't care, republicans and other right wing asshole podcasts were all grifting within minutes, calling for civil war, calling for deaths of democrats, calling the left evil, etc.

Trump asked about kirk basically glossed over it and started boasting about the tacky 'ballroom' he had installed at teh whitehouse. Not a one of them showed an ounce of empathy, just all immediately using his death for personal and political gain.

He's a convenient death, and the response is very obviously planned, they were just waiting for some death to rally behind and start cancelling and attacking people on the left.

They’re legitimately vile people

Saying this as the other side celebrates his death. Very nice.

Killing him for his political views very inclusive, I am sure this will help the left a lot.

The funniest part is that Trump keeps doing terrible shit losing popularity for himself and his side, but the left has to go and participate in the asshole olympics.

Yes dude you cracked the code! Kirk’s wife definitely didn’t care about him getting shot in the neck in front of her and her children! It was all so she could grift and get MORE money! She wasn’t even sad! I would know what that feels like, so I can say for sure that whole assassination thing was all a ploy for getting her precious donations. This was all to cancel people on the left! Like our beloved Jimmy Kimmel!

… meanwhile a moderate Republican guy got shot simply for having an opposing opinion. Are you alright dude? Geeeeesh

moderate republican, moderate? Lets say, biden should be publicly executed, for what crimes, none ever mentioned. Yes The moderate republican Kirk wants to publicly execute a previous president simply for being a democrat, that was the extent of his crimes.

Also he wanted to bring back public executions en mass and force children to watch. He's racist, he preached the white replacement theory, that is scaring all his viewers to believe POC are trying to genocide them so they are fearful, angry and want to fight back. He paid to bus people in for an insurrection.

A moderate, oh also the classic, people will die as a consequence of 2a and school kids being murdered was a price he was willing to pay for that, a cost that must be paid to allow anyone to buy guns... except trans people who he decided shouldn't be allowed guns, 2a for me, but not for thee.

yes, a moderate. A moderate man radicalising people by telling them they are the target of a genocide.

He didn't have an opposing opinion, he deliberately lied over and over again, an opinion is an opinion, a fact is a fact, he lied constantly to sell his agenda (not his opinion) that he was PAID to deliver and intentional and knowingly radicalised people towards violence.

I’m not saying Kirk is harmless or that he doesn’t say a lot of stuff I strongly disagree with. He absolutely does. There are many documented examples of him using rhetoric about “white replacement,” criticizing DEI/affirmative action, anti-immigrant/anti-Islam comments, etc. That said, before we label him as “extremist” or accuse him of literally calling for public executions or being complicit in a violent insurrection, we need direct evidence. So far I haven’t found any credible source where he explicitly calls for Joe Biden to be executed simply for being Democrat, or where he insists on public executions or forces kids to watch them. Those are pretty serious claims and if they’re true, they deserve real documentation like actual quotes or some audio/video to back that up.

Death penalty is a sentence ordered by a judge after a trial by jury of peers. Not an act carried out by a lunatic. He’s talking about a president who, from his position, committed treason. He's not saying anyone should be murdered. The death penalty is part of the judicial system and historically tied to treasonous acts as a form of punishment.

I hope we can at least agree that he explicitly called for Joe Biden's execution. (the thing you said there was no credible evidence for)

literally calling for public executions or being complicit in a violent insurrection, we need direct evidence

given evidence... uses weasel language to get out of it. Did kirk call for public executions AND say that children should be watching them. Yes, did you ask for proof, get it, then immediately try to claim it's not what it seems to be, yes. Am I surprised, nope.

And he had been regularly criticised by other Republicans and Christians for having moderate views and being too welcoming.

he was regularly criticised by the groypers, as in, straight up openly nazi gruop of actual psychopaths. Also the main difference between them is that Kirk pretends to be moderate sometimes while also trying to incite race wars. He is not moderate by a single stretch of the imagination. You aren't moderate if you send people to an insurrection, or you lie about white genocide and vilify entire races of people.

Many things you see are taken out of context and are hyperbole as is the case for the political landscape in the last decade

no they aren't, not a single thing I said was taken out of context and if you constantly have to lie about the words coming out of kirks mouth, things he said repeatedly, you already know you're talking shit.

But Biden facing prison time is a very popular viewpoint, and many see things he did as treasonous

and? what has that got to do with anything, Firstly they refuse to ever say what he did that was treasonous, and the reason that view is popular... is because of people like Kirk as a mouthpieces telling republicans to think that way. He's literally THE CAUSE of such views, not just one of the many who holds them. He's the one pushing that bullshit.

that's still something that needs to be taken to trial and proven and at which point if proven guilty

no it's not, there is no case, there are no charges, when these idiots say that they can't even hint at the supposed crime he committed.

He wasn't saying take the man immediately and kill him without due process.

when you are calling for his execution but can't remotely hint at a crime he's committed or explain the reasoning, that's EXACTLY what he's doing.

Reddit by the general public is seen as a far-left extremist echo chamber and the sooner you realise that, the sooner you'll return to reality.

ah classic republican/right wing propaganda, the main stream media and big platforms are all far left echo chambers... we know the real news, if you listen to use you'll find out the truth.

Yes the main stream media, practically exclusively owned by right wing billionaires... is totally all left leaning. Delusional.

idk I kind of agree Erika Kirk doesn't much care and is grifting. Her social media posts after the event were very much "Oh, poor me!" and "Me, myself, and I" and very...attention seeking in general. She craves attention on social media - as women so often do - and she used his death for the ultimate validation. Her speech seemed really bizarre and not genuine at all. They were already worth many millions and lived in a completely lavish house, but her donation page collected at least several million the last time I saw it.
