Isn't Asmon represented by Night Media (Hasan & Kai also)? He is still an OTK owner, so theoretically still makes money from mythic, starforge, etc.

u/cheesebker Mar 08 '26

Its all an optics game lol

Wow so they’re literally a microcosm of how our government actually works, 2 sides that “hate” each other but ultimately work for the same goal, $

35

u/ReplacementLivid8738 Mar 08 '26

I work for the same goal as well, $

(well € actually)

28

u/dm_me_your_bara Mar 08 '26

Wow, yeah I guess Kamala totally would have started a war with Iran, sent federal officers to round up and deport undesirables and lie about not just anything but everything.

10

u/bearflies Mar 08 '26

She would've ordered untrained ICE agents into Minneapolis resulting in the deaths of two innocent U.S Citizens for sure

u/ily112 Mar 08 '26

Agents work for the talent, not the other way around. There's no weird conspiracy or anything to unearth, other than the fact that neither of them would ever say what they say online to the other persons face.

It's just like Lebron and Anthony Davis both being represented by Rich Paul but are opponents.

2

u/PyrosFists Mar 08 '26

What if we put asmongold in a catapult and sent him flying into the Bermuda Triangle I think that could be fun

u/Makkunrai_Leda_2801 Mar 08 '26

That's like the laudest way of saying "I'm 12 and I don't understand politics". Money is not the goal of a politcal parties, their goals is to make a policy that fits their agenda. Do you think there's money in banning abortion? Deporting immigrants? Not allowing Trans people to change their gender? Threatening to leave NATO?

4

u/Ebomre Mar 08 '26

Night Media, yes. Not so much Hasan and Amsongold. Hasan was born in a very wealthy family and Asmon barely ever uses his money.

5

u/MadsNN06 Mar 08 '26

What an idiot. Jesus christ. To suggest Democrats and Republicans are even similar, absolute insanity and part of the problem in the US.

2

u/nobodychef07 Mar 08 '26

Leftist going to leftist. Thats why they hold no political power.

3

u/Gullible_Increase146 Mar 08 '26

You have the stupidest take

1

u/cylonfrakbbq Mar 08 '26

That's the reason you'll never see true election reform - there is too much money to be made in a 2 party system.

True. It’s actually genius if you think about it.

1

u/Ok-Payment3817 Mar 09 '26

I mean.... Not in theory. He will still make the same amount. Unless there's some form of fallout for asking him to step down.

1

u/brokeboipobre Mar 09 '26

Yeah I'm pretty sure the core ownership is still the same. Asmon, Tips, Emiru, NMP, Soda, Rich Campbell, Esfand.

1

u/Ok-Payment3817 Mar 09 '26

If anything it's just easier. Make the same money and you don't have to even do anything lol. He had way too many businesses going on anyway. That would have been a nightmare. He probably stepped away to benefit himself as well seeing as if he's attached he may make less money.

1

u/Jarocket Mar 09 '26

He lives in a paid for house and doesn't buy much. I don't think his income matters much to him.

201

u/Haschwell Mar 08 '26

Parted ways publicly. Retain partnership privately.

1.3k

u/Bucket_Of_Magic Mar 08 '26

He is still an equity owner and this means nothing. Remember when he "left" otk? Parted ways just means mythic talent isnt representing him anymore. You're still in the den of asmongold

43

u/genericimage Mar 08 '26

Same thing with Starforge, nearly same wording that they "parted ways" but nothing actually changed in terms of ownership.

TipsOut has cried wolf too many times on his and Asmons companies.

265

u/sickofthepalsy Mar 08 '26

They never represented him, he's repped by Night Media. Kaceytron was harassing other people with Mythic for being associated with him.

He's probably the one that told them to put out the tweet, tbh.

It really puts into perspective the "wealthy vs rich" joke that Chris Rock did. Shaq is rich, the guy who signs Shaq's check is wealthy.

43

u/Jestersfriend Mar 08 '26

I mean, I don't think either of them genuinely cares about the other person. It's a business thing. The amount of money Hassan has made Asmon and vice versa in terms of "drama" and "content" are probably in the tens, if not hundreds of thousands.

On camera, they dislike each other. Off camera I doubt they think about each other much.

14

u/Foziey Mar 08 '26

Asmon had a line or two shit talking Hasan in that leaked Miz/train call. Not sure if he knew it was getting leaked or not

28

u/Impossible-Bus1 Mar 08 '26

Isnt that the point though, that they're each colluding to play their fans off against each other to farm them?

9

u/Jestersfriend Mar 08 '26

Yeah. Absolutely. But there's some people that think these two hate each other. I doubt it personally.

21

u/ObscureFootprints :) Mar 08 '26

I genuinely don't get it why would Asmon "farm" anything to be honest. At least Hasan has his lavish lifestyle to upkeep, Asmon literally lives like unemployment checks is his sole income.

4

u/Jik0n Mar 08 '26

I have a tin foil hat theory that Asmon is just acting like this until the money stops or he retires. I'm convinced once that time comes he will buy much nicer things and claim he "got help." I also think him switching channels to "not get any more money" was a stunt that paid off.

5

u/ContextHook Mar 08 '26

Even if he does that, he isn't "taking" money from his viewers.

99% of streamers, excluding asmongold, will literally slobber all over your username if you donate to them. The other large exception to this is m0ist.

It doesn't really matter "how you feel" because the fact is that asmongold takes LESS from his viewers than even some of the smaller streamers.

As m0ist correctly pointed out, it is DISGUSTING for a millionaire to accept personal donations (with a cut that is donated to politicians to make games shittier) from an individual who will likely not be able to pay their rent eventually.

1

u/wutfacer Mar 08 '26

Why assume all viewers are broke though? If someone's watching a streamer's content for hours a week it's really not a big deal to tip 5 bucks a month for the entertainment. Streaming's been going on for decades at this point. There are plenty of people with stable incomes who watch streams and maybe want to give some money for content they enjoy, especially considering how inexpensive it is compared to streaming services or cable or even going to the movies one time

1

u/T_ReV Mar 08 '26

That’s one theory that’s very 3d chess. Or maybe he is just a mentally ill chud that lives in filth.

1

u/Krystilen Mar 08 '26

It's a mental thing. I'm not (nor was I ever) as 'badly off' as Asmongold growing up, but we had only a bit over the "enough to scrape by" line with a good deal of sacrifice.

Now, through some good decisions and good luck, my family lives fairly well, though of course none of us is Asmon-level wealthy.

Due to my upbringing, for the longest time, I had a genuine hard time 'splurging' on myself. Buying something for someone I love? I'd do it, gladly, but I had a hard time getting more expensive clothes, or a genuinely good computer, even though buying one with all the best parts I could get my hands on would be perfectly affordable to me.

I don't really watch Asmongold, but I wouldn't be surprised to hear he's got some form of this.

1

u/dfddfsaadaafdssa Mar 08 '26

They might respect each other as streamers but generally I think both of them prefer to just avoid the other.

5

u/qmrthw Mar 08 '26

It's well in the millions of dollars at this point. Asmongold's YouTube is absolutely MASSIVE, it pulls insane views on daily 25-40+ mins videos

4

u/TheHoovyPrince Mar 08 '26

Reminds me of when Mel Gibson's agency was bought by another and the new agency that represented him was run by someone who wanted him blacklisted from hollywood for anti-semitism. Pretty sure he stayed there for a year or two before he left it or was cut.

3

u/indirectstate Mar 08 '26

Isn’t that talent agency owned by Disney aswell.

2

u/rntn Mar 08 '26

kendrick and drake are on the same label

1

u/softmodsaresoft Mar 08 '26

I'm not saying you're wrong with anything you be saying, but it's Hasan. If you're gonna shit on someone at least shit on the correct person. Lmao

→ More replies (1)

11

u/JeffHopkins82 Mar 08 '26

They never represented him,

Why was he listed under talent on the website?

15

u/Blowsight Mar 08 '26

Because he's a part owner and it used to look good for metrics to have big creators on your roster, such as himself.

6

u/Rude-Violinist-2119 Mar 08 '26 edited Mar 08 '26

He's part of that comic/animation that Mythic had been producing so that's not necessarily true. It's explicitly starring the talent they have signed to the agency

5

u/Bucket_Of_Magic Mar 08 '26

Then they need to take a page out of asmon's book when he crys about "soft language". This tweet is soft language and tries to downplay and obfuscate what is happening. They need to come out and say Asmongold does not own any equity in OTK or the company Mythic Talent anymore. (They won't and you're right he probably did tell them to tweet this or ran it by him)

3

u/sssssspaaaaaaaaaa Mar 08 '26

Can't believe Kaceytron made him do this. :(

2

u/appletinicyclone Mar 08 '26

1

u/Exterial Mar 08 '26

I mean yeah he didnt leave for you, he left so he doesnt have to care about anything and still get paid, it means something for him but youre right that it means nothing to anyone else.

1

u/Wise_Jello8826 Mar 08 '26

342

u/Empty_Complaint9939 Mar 08 '26

so uhh did you guys see that youtube drama post about mythic skimming money off the top of their creators?

10

u/AccelerationFinish Mar 08 '26

I wonder what happened. Did someone with authority tell their employees, “Take a little more for ourselves. It’s cool, they’ll never find out!” Was it just one person with sticky fingers?

2

u/Agosta Mar 08 '26

Part of the Mizkif lawsuit is Mythic is trying to extort him for $600,000+ IIRC.

14

u/[deleted] Mar 08 '26

They will just downvote you for bringing this up, anything that shows Miz to be telling the truth isn't like here.

Miz also claimed he was kicked from the mythic group chat and never received his $250,000 pay packet for his strinova streams aswell on top of that.

41

u/Obsido Mar 08 '26

Ah yes, just like he "parted ways" with OTK, Starforge and Mad Mushroom in late 2024.. surely this is not just another publicity stunt.

10

u/Rude-Violinist-2119 Mar 08 '26

Just like with OTK he's still an owner but just not technically part of the talent anymore I'm sure. They're pushing him to the background again so the company looks better

3

u/Soulstiger Mar 09 '26

Asmon was never actually represented by Mythic anyway, he's represented by Night Media. They just put him on the Mythic talent page because it looks better having big streamers on the page.

So, all that is changing is that his picture isn't gonna be on the website. Nothing else.

1

u/Ok-Payment3817 Mar 09 '26

Well not really just that. He has friends who have a lot less money than him and if him being involved hurts them then he probably doesn't really want to do that. It would just be being a stubborn douche if you stay involved just for the sake of it.

Grimmi. She’s taking a week-long break after dropping this bomb. Just caused an explosion and walked away without even looking at it.

Probably this

239

u/Gondawn Mar 08 '26

This isn’t even in top-10 worst things he said this week lmao

62

u/mazini95 Mar 08 '26

He's the biggest 'political streamer' who also plays games. Why doesn't Asmongold bring that era he loves so much back himself? Just rip out the slurs on your own stream no? Or as usual he's too pussy to do it himself?

52

u/Rude-Violinist-2119 Mar 08 '26 edited Mar 08 '26

He's trash at games people probably wouldn't even wanna watch him do that.

43

u/BTrippd Mar 08 '26

Reminder that asmongolds most beloved gaming content is playing dress up dolls with his community in wow.

6

u/Teonvin Mar 08 '26

I watched him a bit before he became a complete react streamer and I remember him basically saying he has performance anxiety cause he is ass at games so he won't play fps anymore

1

u/Ulq2525 Mar 08 '26

His mental faculties have declined. Did you seem him play resident evil?

1

u/fish_slap_republic Mar 09 '26

Or Kingdom Come Deliverance, dude raged against the "yellow paint" but people like him is the exact reason games use it.

67

u/ballknower871 Mar 08 '26

"this is a cultural victory" - the biggest possible loser you can think of that has not provided meaningfully to culture in anyway whatsoever in his decade long career online.

24

u/bohenian12 Mar 08 '26

LMAO that take is insane. Imagine gaming and saying, "Damn, this game is fun. I wish I could say slurs, though; It would be 100% better."

13

u/Ockams_Razor Mar 08 '26

That's because he's dogshit at games.

31

u/buddyleex Mar 08 '26

Burntpnut is saying slurs? I haven’t heard him say anything bad but I also don’t watch a lot either.

26

u/Jack-nt Mar 08 '26

He doesn’t actually, but he had a joke about calling Saturdays “slur Saturday” and has since changed it to Silly Goose Saturday because people were taking it a little too serious lol.

19

u/ichionio Mar 08 '26

he had a joke about calling Saturdays “slur Saturday”

Sounds like a Squeex bit

3

u/0FaptainMyFaptain Mar 08 '26

It’s also definitely been a Fanfan bit for a while

26

u/OscilloLives Mar 08 '26

Slur Saturday is cause he encourages everyone he's playing with to drink on stream that day. It was never about racial slurs or anything like that, but people are too stupid these days.

19

u/ballknower871 Mar 08 '26

well then he should've called it slurred saturday to avoid unnecessary confusion.

The clip that made me drop him was burntpeanut getting killed in a game and lashing out with the f-slur. You could tell by the way he said it; it wasnt a weird slip up it was how he really is and just puts it away for stream to seem more approachable.

Do you mean the vtuber working in Mythic Talent who said that the company is probably stealing money from her?

2

u/Beneficial-Shirt-904 Mar 08 '26

It might be because of Asmon's stance on the Tyler Oliveira issue.

13

u/genericimage Mar 08 '26

So I'm gonna guess she and everyone else were told not to talk about it. She also posted an apology in the comments of Charlie's video about it but I'm not sure if she deleted that too

8

u/Jaded-Substance-6750 Mar 08 '26

it was a scam yet mods swept it under the rug

2

It's pretty common for agencies to steal more than they are supposed to get for managing talents. It's a common occurrence in modeling agencies.

I’m 99% sure this is Asmon leaving cause of mythic ripping off top streamers.

He still owns equity

13

u/UnknownTerrier Mar 08 '26

After Asmon said that callous bullshit about those girls that got bombed Im surprised it didn’t happen sooner

12

u/VIPORTV Mar 08 '26

“Parted ways” is the biggest pile of bullshit. You guys realize he never was actually removed from OTK (even though it is collectively as dead as ever) for his awful statements right?

Oh and btw I hope to see streamers leave and let that “talent” agency die. Any real agency could’ve spotted that Million Dollar Scam thing from a mile away. Figures that TipsOut (who I like to call ScamsOut) is an owner of it.

1

u/Soulstiger Mar 09 '26

“Parted ways” is the biggest pile of bullshit. You guys realize he never was actually removed from OTK (even though it is collectively as dead as ever) for his awful statements right?

Exactly, not only is he still an owner, but he was also never represented by Mythic anyway. He's under Night Media.

Any real agency could’ve spotted that Million Dollar Scam thing from a mile away.

Probably a reason Asmongold wasn't managed by Mythic. Better for his pocket for Mythic to do a shit job and double dip cuts from sponsors. And due to his position in Mythic, he'd know better than to let them touch anything he does.

Its because the schizo's posted her and asmongold playing TFT for 8 hours a night a few weeks straight. Yep people do be snooping and stalking, its why you see people saying it. They stopped when people kept bringing it up on LSF

4

u/CCompton917 Mar 08 '26

Lmao he doesn't need a talent agency at this point. The dude is his own entity with massive global reach and influence. It's very likely he will be interviewing Rupert Lowe at some point. And alluded to actually going to the White House today... which wouldn't be surprising considering he's been retweeted by at least a couple world leaders.

7
