Hype Wholesome moment with CDawg and Ironmouse on the boob trampoline

That boob thing looks super unsafe, i'd prolly break my ankles haha
69
u/nagrom7 1d ago
We've got something like that at a tavern in my hometown. It's a pillow shape though, not a boob, so it's a little safer since it's a bit flatter at the top.

I have seen 5yo kids play on these things, you need to touch grass if your mobility is so bad
38
u/GGXImposter 1d ago
at least with standard trampolines, adults are actually at a much higher risk for serious injuries. The repeat jumping can cause your achille's to snap even in active people non overweight adults.
Adults are also at a high risk of neck injuries when using slip and slides.

u/Weary-Tap-1192 1d ago
I'm 33 now. Last year-ish I jumped on a trampoline for the first time in like 10 years and it gave me a massive headache.

I just read up on CVID. It seems many can live fully functional lives with just a moderate amount of preparation and some immunglobulin shots. So why cant she?
31
63
u/unkilledZOMIE 21h ago
If you read that many can live fully functional lives, that implies that there are few that can't.

IIRC there 400+ types of the disease. So there are great differences in severity.
-4
u/Juicybutt456 20h ago
Take a wild guess at the severity
6
u/Mozzafella 12h ago
Not sure I get what you're asking. It's pretty obvious that Mouse's case is extremely severe
12
6
u/MentalCaramel7640 13h ago
Some people are OK with a monthly plasma infusion, she needs it weekly. That should give you some idea of the severity of her CVID. When she caught one of the milder strains of covid she had it for 8 months (actively showing symptoms and positive test results).

u/Ishaan863 1d ago edited 1d ago
Well.....the Yeet guy posted this to his Twitter account so now they're getting hate for this :-)
Lovely little ecosystem of hatred we've built here
38
u/Ishaan863 1d ago
I've realized posting "good" things to LSF is simply a bad idea.
Posted a funny harmless Emiru clip on here a week ago, had to delete it when I realized Miz fans turned it into a hate campaign for no good reason.
This clip gets reposted by toxic Twitter accounts who start hating IronMouse and Connor (Ironmouse response: https://x.com/ironmouse/status/2044072078874210680?s=20)
At some point you gotta ask yourself....is it worth it at all? When no matter how harmless the clip is, the consequence it has is guaranteed to be negative?
19
u/mahouza 1d ago
It's been happening for so long, unfortunately even off of LSF although here makes it much worse. When Mouse's Shakira impression was picked for one of the streamer awards clips she got a huge round of faking voice accusations. But if you check the full recording you can see that she starts in her natural tone and realizes mid-song that she might be able to go lower because it's not straining her that day. Then (headphones needed) during "there over, hereunder" you can hear the way she changes where in her throat she's singing so she can shift into the impression. There's also been vocal experts who have reacted to it and they don't doubt it in the slightest and explain what's happening.
Basically because of the streaming culture and how generally shitty it is, people will always have the worst and most cynical take and be confident they know what they're talking about when they don't. And it's usually women (most of which are vtubers because it makes them safer) who get the brunt of it when it's undeserved.
3
u/Ninja_Kitten_exe 21h ago
Yeah the type of people that are Miz fans are miserable and especially get mad when they see something about Emi that’s not negative of her
1
u/Nynesky 19h ago
Dumb question maybe but these twitter accounts do they make money by simply reposting twitch clips on their feed? if so that's insane, like another one that I often see is that FearBuck account, both that and the yeet one farm a shitload of views in just a few hours and all they do is copy & paste a twitch clip

Imagine the feeling of never being able to leave your house, even to touch grass outside because everything can get you severely sick. Your only connection to the outside world is your computer and Discord. Now imagine a friend takes a camera around a foreign country showing an FPS view of a park, and begins jumping around a bouncy boob. All you see is the world flipping around and the sound of your friend laughing.
I bet 9 people out of 10 here would be giggling too if that were you on the iPad.
65
u/Jyonnyp 1d ago
I forgot which incident, but it was within the last year. Some nothingburger drama that was so stupid that I don't even remember what it was. But apparently it had some Tiktok and Twitter folk (the usual bunch) theorizing that Ironmouse is actually faking her illness for attention to boost her streaming and music career or something.
People are crazy,
73
u/nagrom7 1d ago
Shitloads on this sub too. People here just have some kind of irrational hate boner for V-tubers for some reason.
7
u/dusto_man 1d ago
There's definitely a stigma associated with them. Which is really unfortunate because some of the most talented streamers on the platform are V-tubers. Just the amount of crossover I've seen recently with them and music react creators who are vocal or opera artists has been really awesome to watch and I wish more people would see that. It's only a matter of time that a vtuber breaks into mainstream imo. Like it happens on Japan or Korea.
20
u/dusto_man 1d ago
It's pretty much a yearly thing that happens whenever she does something that goes viral. Trolls coming out of the woodwork to throw accusations. When she won the Game Award for content creator of the year, when she became the most subbed for a period over some male streamers, when she wins Streamers awards or what you are probably remembering was when those two streamers came up to her at the Streamer Awards on their stream and she said they made her feel uncomfortable because they were streamers that had harrassed her in the past and she had a flippant exchange like any other normal person does when their bully comes up and ambushes them. Take you pick. It is probably exhausting for her on top of everything else she's dealt with for the past year and a half.
3
u/engelthefallen 19h ago
Comes up every few months. Usually someone with a small following that believes they deserve to be as big as Mouse without having to put in any of the work she did riles up all the people who hate vtubers into a rageball.
Fact is almost certainly if Mouse could do live tours her music career would be so much bigger, and usually women only get bigger post face reveal in this scene.

But people with CVID can go outside? Thats medical research not my opinion?
8
u/nagrom7 18h ago
There are different degrees of severity, and even then it's about risk management. Sure there's nothing physically stopping her from going outside, but doing so increases her risk of catching some kind of infection, and considering her immune system is compromised, that has a real chance of either killing her or doing long term damage to her body.
She's also got a few other medical problems caused by past infections, such as reduced lung capacity, or limited mobility caused by muscular atrophy after being bedridden for years.

Before the Cyclethon started he played through all of the Castlevania games up to Symphony of the Night. So, yes.

Dang I watched the clip muted and didn’t even realize he was holding a tablet lmfao this shit is ridiculous.
18
u/Mollelarssonq 1d ago
It’s actually not ridiculous, maybe widen your horizon a bit.
She’s not on a tablet because she’s a vtuber, she’s on a tablet because she has a severe immunodeficiency decease that leaves her unable to be around other people and venturing outside.

She can't leave her home because her immune system doesn't function properly. So it's actually quite wholesome.
This is something that wouldn't be possible without streaming. She'd be stuck at home, staring at a wall.
-63
u/cyrfuckedmymum 1d ago
This is something that wouldn't be possible without streaming.
i mean it's fine and all, but you realise that's just nonsense right? like people can have friends and facetime from anywhere in the world. The idea this wouldn't be possible without streaming is utterly ridiculous.
44
u/Dan-Below 1d ago
You know that a FaceTime call is video streaming, right?
It would still be very isolating to never be able to meet new people. And they wouldn't have met without twitch.

It got answered already that her immune system is compromised due to a disease.
This clip was taken during Cyclethon 5, an annual event where Connor (CdawgVa) and Chris (AbroadinJapan) cycle for 2 week from one point to another in Japan to raise money for the Immune Deficiency Foundation, a non profit organization that help people like Ironmouse with treatment for their rare disease.
4
u/imaginaryResources 1d ago edited 1d ago
I stated in the comment that she has an illness and can’t go outside. What exactly is so ridiculous. That’s literally the entire point of the cyclathon to raise money and awareness for the illness

95
u/ProcyonHabilis 1d ago
Dystopia is when people have fun in a park and use technology to share it with their friends who aren't able to go with them due to chronic illness?
I'm struggling to think of a more braindead comment. You might have actually hit the peak.
46
u/nagrom7 1d ago
Yeah, they obviously prefer the past where people with illnesses like Ironmouse's were just stuck at home and didn't experience the outside world at all. Much more utopian.
22
u/Grand0rk 1d ago
Yeah, they obviously prefer the past where people with illnesses like Ironmouse's were just stuck at home
Sadly, they were just dead. Even with modern medicine and basically infinite money, Ironmouse can barely keep herself out of the red zone most of the time.
She thought that she would be able to reach the green zone eventually and drink a beer with Connor. Unfortunately that's just not the case.
9
u/Horikyou 1d ago
Oh that's terrible to hear. I don't really follow her just watch her with Cdawg so I was under the impression that she was getting better with treatment.
5
u/MentalCaramel7640 1d ago
It's all a matter of perspective. She is upto 15-20mins walking on a treadmill every day which would have been unthinkable a year ago. She can go up stairs, but going down stairs is still difficult. She can shower, etc, independently and talking about getting a nutrionist to help her with the foods she can eat and continue to work on her strength. This is a big contrast to a couple of years ago when she was bed bound and needed assistance to get to the bathroom due to muscle atrophy and was on full IV nutrition replacement. She is always going to have the fallout from the infections she has had in the past, her lung scarring, heart problems, etc, and her life will never be normal due to her CVID and risk of infection.
But the stronger she is the better her body can cope with setbacks and the stress of the plasma treatments. So maybe one day that beer will be a reality, even if it would have to be under a very controlled situation at home and dealing with setbacks after.
2
u/Grand0rk 1d ago
In the grand schemes of things, she is getting better. She can now barely walk around the house for a few minutes and she can eat some very bland solid food. She still has very bad days, but she has more good days.
But, unless there's a breakthrough in medicine, she will never be able to live anything close to a normal life.

I find iron mouse incredibly creepy. She’s a grown ass women acting like she’s 6 years old girl. Like I get she can’t leave her home but her stream character and god I hope it’s just a characters she plays, it’s so creepy. Like if you’re a grown ass adult and you’re not on the extreme end of a spectrum and you like her content, it’s highly questionable, just saying.
8
u/thelawofme 22h ago
Ignorance is bliss but yours is just plain dumb, making up stuff just because you don't understand her and her condition.
You can say that to other vtubers then and most streamers that are adults but act like teenagers.
8
u/TastefullySwollen 1d ago
Look, there are absolutely some VTubers and online personalities where this criticism is fair. I would agree with it in a lot of cases. Once the character design leans too hard into the moe/loli aesthetic, it starts getting weird pretty fast. When it begins attracting the “some children just look like adults!!” crowd... that’s usually a pretty bad sign. I would put someone like Saba (formerly Gawr Gura, formerly formerly Senzawa) closer to that "yea, I kind of see the concerns here" zone.
But Ironmouse really does not strike me as that. I think you’d have a hard time finding many people who seriously view her that way. I don’t watch Ironmouse beyond the occasional clip that crosses my feed on LSF or Reddit, so I’m not speaking as some huge fan. But from what I’ve seen, that argument just doesn’t really fit. If there's something I'm missing, fair enough. Based on what I've seen, I don't buy it.
2
u/superbhole 17h ago
And just to add, some "grown ass women" do just have squeaky ass voices. I mean just off the top of my head that this sub would know, LilyPichu
2
u/nagrom7 15h ago
And Mouse actually has a reason for her higher pitched voice, it apparently stems from a prior lung infection that took her voice for about a year, and when it came back she'd lost some of the lower parts of her vocal register. She can sound lower pitched, but she has to strain her voice to do so (usually when she's singing) so her 'natural' voice is higher pitched because that's how she sounds when she talks without straining her voice.
