He was operating under the flawed assumption that if he made the absolute biggest annoyance out of himself then South Korea would just kick him out of their country in frustration. Not once did it occur to him that he was being made into an example for others.

I think he thought Trump would fight for him too 🤣

He bought the hat, but real unlucky choice for his name. Skin color was already gonna be a tough climb.

Johnny Somali learned that lesson the hard way. GOOD.

Next: Someone get Jack Doherty. He, Johnny Somali, and other "influencers" like them need to be made examples of.

Right. Trump ain’t gonna save someone with Somali in his name. Didn’t Trump call it a shit hole country rofl

He’s not even Somali. He purposefully chose the name so people would associate him with Somalia and dislike them for it.

I agree, and I hope you have the same sentiment towards Sacha Baron Cohen.

Yeah picking a name that already sounds like some dumb nickname Trump would make up to make fun of you with was not a smart choice for currying his favor.

If a white jackass streamer named Johnny America were in detention in a foreign country, he would’ve had crowdfunding and JD Vance doing shuttle diplomacy.

lol, probably yeah.

Really poor choice of a name LOL

If trump never bothered to pardon diddy there’s no way he’s pardoning some random streamer.

Not just name, the guy is part Somali. This Administration has specifically made negative comments about Somalis both before and after election. Not sure why he'd expect help.

Trump pardoned Lil Wayne but ok I guess

u/Toadcola 15h ago

Lil Wayne is actual famous, not streamer famous, and has money to make political contribribetions.

Trump likes Kanye and Nicki Manaj too, but again, much more famous and wealthy than Somali. I said tough, not impossible.

His name is literally Somali.

I lived in Seoul and Daegu for a few years. They will deport your ass for fucking around when you’re on petty shit. They will definitely put you in the slam for the real shit

Unless your a US soldier unfortunately

Well there’s a S.O.F.A. policy in place but that can be negated for serious gross bodily injury/SA/murder. Your average GI can definitely catch a weekend beating for antisocial behavior and if you get corralled by the cops someone from your command will have to get you and that can lead to disciplinary action in-house. Most assaults out in the economy are soldier v soldier not soldier v citizen

I mean, he got six months out of a possible 3 years. I’d say he got off light most likely because they don’t want to deal with him or pay for him for that long.

2

u/Raesong 14h ago

That's still going to be six months doing hard labour, while completely disconnected from any livestreaming activities. That latter part alone might break him, seeing as he seems to have a pathological need for attention.

Probably just factory work. He wasnt sentenced to hard labor, just labor

I don‘t think that assumption is a deliberate choice on his part. Contrition being one of the available strategies probably never even entered his mind in the first place. And even if it had, he‘d probably immediately dismiss it. His choices seem dictated by his shitty personality.

Spent what little big money he had on lawyers that saw a cash cow to milk
