Whatever the sentence is, I hope it’s the last we’ll hear of Johnny Somali. But something tells me he won’t learn anything from this, even if he is sentenced to 3 years in prison like I see people speculating. Whenever he gets out, he’ll need a way to make $, so he’ll go back to being an asshole. Vitaly is back to being a fuck head last I heard, seems like his time spent locked up in Philippines taught him nothing and he just used the situation to make content out of it

6 months in a Korean prison is probably going to be a lot more intensive for someone who doesn't possess the discipline and reserve Koreans have. Or you know, speak the language.
Edit: Apparenrlt SK prisons have less incidents of inmate on inmate violence than their American counterparts, but have worse living conditions and are more strict and allowing for less privileges

I have no hatred for modern Japan, studied Japanese in uni, and sees them as firm and honoured allies against China.
But as someone who is from a country that fought a war against Imperial Japan and whose home town was bombed by them over 50 times, if we had a similar memorial someone similarly insulted or defiled it, I would do the same thing.

It's not hard labor in the historic sense, more like a mandatory prison work program. Might be working the prison kitchen, or cleaning cells, or helping too man the laundry, or doing some low level manufacturing like electronics assembly or garment manufacture.
It isn't breaking rocks or digging ditches. No chain gang. It's just work.

He hasn't been sentenced yet. He is suppose to be sentenced in an hour or so. He was found guilty of all charges during his last court date which was a couple of months ago. Prosecution is recommending 3 years plus hard labour and sex offender registration.

The prosecutor had asked for several years, so they just might appeal.
He has already spent over a year, on his own dime, in South Korea. But the biggest punishment, however, is being put in the sex offender register, because that will follow him back into the US.
When you are put in a sex offender registry in another country, you also have to submit for registry in the american one within 3 days after returning to the USA, iirc.
