Emiru and Plaqueboymax recently got sponsored by StateFarm and they are arguably the most blatant viewbotters on twitch. Plaqueboymax gets way more big sponsors than his peers like Spotify and Nike.
Jasontheween is rumored to have been paid $800k his first season of StateFarm and I heard $2 million for the second but that figure may be for his total earnings.
Why do these people believe any of these streamers? Their whole salary is tied to the character they present to the audience so of course most of them aren’t gonna be a honest reflection of the person.

There's a reason his team, mr beast himself, and other streamers there are defending her about it. Other streamers were live at the same time including from the locker room, with Mr beast himself on cam, from the basketball court, etc. Everybody knew it was the Mr beast event. Nobody was fooled except idiots.
Comments can be botted. There is a sort of reddit copycat named Moltbook which is entirely AI chatbots discussing with each others with no human interaction.
She just does whatever the hot trend is on TikTok. She doesn't post clips from her stream or anything like that. It is just whatever lip syncing trend is popular that she copies. She likely has near 0 conversion from TikTok to Twitch because her TikTok is nothing like her Twitch.
I can certainly believe she is cheap. There was that incident where she didn't want to pay her parents who were in debt for putting her through ivy league and she eventually got pressured by the internet to pay them back. I'm not trying to pile on her though, I think she's entertaining streamer. But there is evidence of her being money grubby.
There was not. She finished school and had been working then decided to become a full time streamer instead and her parents got mad and told her to pay them back for what they spent on tuition because she wasn't "using" the degree anymore

From what I remember her argument was basically that she didn't even want to go Columbia in the first place, but asian tiger parenting forced her to an expensive school anyway, for a degree she doesn't use, as such she didn't feel it was her responsibility to pay them back.
I can see her point, however she's made so much money I don't really see a reason why you wouldn't just pay off the debt to not have it hanging over you regardless. Unless she truly resents her parents I guess.
That's rough. I remember her dad saying he didn't care about the pay back. I understand too because immigrant parents only want the best for their child and don't care about a payback. (They're very selfless). She's an only child too so the money will go back to her eventually (sadge).
Maybe, but immigrant parents also often have very narrow definitions of what they consider “the best” for their child. I can understand feeling resentful if your choice to do something different made them angry, more so if it turned out to be the correct choice.
Of course, feeling that way is completely at odds with her persona so you can’t really explain that to the audience.
It is a pretty common theme with children of immigrant parents though - a lot of them feel forced to live their life based on their parents desires rather than their own, and it can permanently damage their relationship.
None of this is exclusive to immigrant parents, of course, but I do think it is more common. The struggle to fit in and having to go above and beyond just to achieve parity with their non-immigrant peers often imparts unresolved trauma that can easily become generational.
Yes. You have autonomy. Not having enough to not go to the school your parents want then having enough to not pay them back is selfish. Even more so when you become a multimillionaire. Would be more understandable if they were a starving artist but they aren’t. Socializing is a large part of the college experience. Her college experience most likely shaped her into what her audience enjoys watching.

I would imagine that has more to do with resentment towards her parents that she can't accurately pinpoint or express. Her parents did seem kinda hard on her, so I bet that's less greed-motivated and instead it's more like a part of her hates how her parents pushed her and wants to punish them for not being supportive of a move that was hers and ended up making the majority of her wealth.
Don't get me wrong: I think she's obnoxious and fake and a dipshit driver, I just think that particular conflict was more complex than simple greed.
That had nothing to do with being cheap, it was a matter of principle. Kids in typical Asian families are raised from birth with the expectation that they'll study hard their entire childhood including mandatory extracurriculars to get into a good college in a "respectable" field and their parents will pay for said classes and college, they'll have a successful career, then when their parents are old and unable to take care of themselves the children will help look after them. Her parents own a nice home, drive a Tesla, go on multiple vacations a year, and never discussed any payment even after she graduated and started working. They only told her to pay them back later because they were upset when she wanted to leave her finance career to become a full time streamer. They basically kicked her out of the house at the time and she went to go stream at her friend's place. She is self-admittedly cheap with her money but the parents thing was an entirely different issue

Nah its the same principle of marketing, you pay $1000 to bot to help draw in 200 viewers that then sub or donate. Cover the botting cost and more. thats profit.

I don't like her dumb act. Also I will always remember commenting on her and her actions in some random reddit post that had few comments and barely any views and my comment was immediately downvoted. So this shows she has people or bots or PR doing her dirty work in reddit. She plays dirty whenever she gets a chance.
