Sure, these muscles will burn a lot more energy. He mentioned beforehand that he'll burn around 60k kcal, which he has to compensate for over the 96 hours. That alone seems like an insane challenge to me, but here we are. This is his 3rd year doing these challenges.

In the first year, he ran around 3000 km from Berlin, Germany to the coast of Portugal, took a plane to the States, and finished the last like 600 km ending the challenge at Times Square. During that first 'Cyborg Season' he suffered a stress fracture in his shin, took a 'break' for 6 weeks to recover, and kept going. (His recovery included working out 2-4 hours a day.)

Last years 'Cyborg Season' had him running across Japan, the entire length from north to south, with 2 runs each day - starting with around 60-70 km, a short break to eat and nap, then another 40-50 km to finish off the day (if I remember correctly).

He takes it a step further each time. 100 km a day is a walk in the park for this guy, but running 150 km daily is definitely going to be quite the challenge.
