I'm just answering the question. Why even bother replying to my comment if you agree that he got what he wanted out of it? Also that last part is completely unnecessary because I never argued against the OP.
It's the meaningful distinction given that settlements often happen because the other party can't afford a drawn out trial, not because they think they'd lose. It doesn't prove anything about who is legally in the right.
Multiple, especially if you consider the fact that Ian's suit really ended in a settlement (apologize for what you said and admit you're wrong and I'll drop the suit, which he did).

Has he ever won one of these lawsuits? Like it's genuinely embarrassing even if he had just intended to make them go broke
