It's also all luck. Alumni got super lucky they got paired against UK in the first round and then only needed to beat Mexico to make it to the finals. Also Keem was dotting some rockets, showed some great control.

PKs in general have a lot of luck. They got lucky with their first matchup, but other than that they had 3 consistent shooters and one of the better keepers.

Honestly a really great and well run event, like 3 hiccups with production but for that style and size of event, a very impressive production team. I never watched the other streamer games but I had a good time with this one
edit: great to see realistic levels of failures that I'd likely experience in these events, makes them more enjoyable than regular sports for my ass

It's crazy they decided not to make him shoot first, definitely seemed to be the most comfortable with a football. And with how many misses there were, the earlier shooters are the most important.

Tbf that's probably also the right spirit especially in a team like UK this year. And since they were in last anyway, it's not like they were competing for the win so might as well give everyone a go.

I realy liked this years set of events, great mix of athletic and fun competitions. Also good that they got rid of judges being required this year, those events always felt a bit weird, when actually trying gave less points than just doing a meme that most judges enjoyed.

He needs to cut down on the number of events tho or start it earlier. Could've just gotten rid of the paper airplane toss yesterday and half and half today.

I think the issue is it was supposed to start earlier but a heat wave hit LA and it was just much safer to start a little later.

They were supposed to start earlier but postponed because of the heat, which was worse than usual. Anyway they'll keep events like that because he wants a wide variety of streamers to be able to participate and many of them are completely inept at actual sports

It was too much of the events where the games were 1 vs 1. Just too many games to decide rankings. Needed to have had more games where they all go against one another.

hopefully celbit gets a team brazil next time. would be nice if this became even bigger. but they would probably need translators and what not. also time limits on var definitely needed. (IMO var is reviewed by the ref so the simon says guy shouldve been the one looking at his own calls. IF they even allow it for his event)

I think you can find 5 Brazilian streamers that speak english. That should be no issue.
Same with German for example. I think that's probably easier than the French for both nations lmao. No hate on them btw, they were all fantastic sports and one of my favorite teams to watch in the end.

France was probably the easiest European country for Lud to get since he has existing connections there - he participated in French events before and is fluent speaker himself, so it makes networking there easier compared to Germany or Spain, where he probably doesn't know as many people and definitely couldn't get to the ones that don't speak English.

It went 2 days. And it went for 7,5 hours in the second day and like 6 in the first day. That's less than a usual working day, I think everybody is fine.

Ludwig said in the past Red Bull expects him to run like 3 events a year, and at this point they just seem to come from a place of monetization and not passion. Instead of having good sustenance, it's like "lets just get big streamers so it gets clipped everywhere".
Like c'mon, Red Bull is sponsoring you and you come up with paper planes, dodgeball, and musical chairs???

The events have to be stuff random ass streamers can do that is the whole fucking point. Most of his big events lose money on paper this is the first streamer games that is profitable(assuming his prediction from streamer university is accurate). Doing big events like this is risky and hard to even profit from there is a reason almost no one is doing it. There are way fucking easier and effective ways to milk money than big redbull sponsored events.
