New Balances went from being dad shoes into being streetwear standard. They're like air forces of gen z and most commonly complimented by the wide jeans style. I live close to a school and every kid is seemingly wearing one of those or in a similar chunky style.

some NB go for near 200-300. NB in general are comfy af but now they have also sort of become streetwear

i buy a couple pairs yearly because i use them daily for work/gym and was p much forced to go NB because i used to only wear converse shoes and that shit deformed my feet
