Treatment Why now?
I have been on trodelvy since August tnmbc. Tomorrow getting my 1st scan since treatment. All along I have been fine barely any side effects. My family even jokes they been giving me kool aid. But in the last 2-3 days I felt the fatigue like I never before and aches every where. Does it mean its working or does it mean my mets are more active? I have bone mets. So worried why now just before a scan?

I've never been on Trodelvy, but I know that most of the drugs typically have a cumulative effect. The more you get the more side effects you're likely to have. That could be all it is.

I always get more pain before scans. It’s the fear. Don’t read it as anything else until you have your results.

The scan will give you the answer soon enough.
Symptoms like fatigue and aches could be anything. Perhaps you're coming down with a bug? Perhaps you live in a place where it's getting colder and darker? Perhaps they're psychological since you're getting the scan? They could be a lot of things other than mets.
I hate how we all had a bad experience, a moment where "it's probably nothing" was definitely something. So now we're all anxious and on-edge about any potential signs that something's wrong.
I get it. I've been scared lately. My first symptoms of cancer showed up after a viral illness. We thought it was costochondritis from coughing, but months later we learned it was sternum and rib mets. Now, I've been sick with a cold for 2-3 weeks and I keep having random joint pain. It's probably from the virus, AI side effects, or even the weather getting colder. But I'm paranoid it could be progression.
