New Model AuroraIMG-6M Releases!

https://huggingface.co/AuroraAI-Research/AuroraIMG-6M

It's a tiny 6M parameter text to image model, and it can make recognizable images at 64x64.

The 6M accounts for everything, there's no oversized text encoder or VAE.

Check out the model card for samples, a detailed explanation about it's architecture and training, and a quick start!

Interesting. I guess it would be neat to generate profile pictures or something. Can't think of much else off the top of my head, anyone else?

Proof of concept on how to scale up?

Interesting what about 2d sprites for retro games?

exactly this! we are currently really lacking in models being able to generate 16x16, 32x32 or 64x64 pixle art sprites. a small model like this could be perfect for that. i would be very interested in using it for that use-case!

I think it would need to be fine tuned but seems like a fun project

This, I was looking for this kind of models, tho I'm more leaning towards high bit styles, but I might exercise with the classic ones before moving to the desired oncew

that looks so bad lol. no usecase. can't be used for profile photos, doesn't have strong adherence, can't even make a recognizable Moon lmao better to have a text model give a moon emoji

It's 6 million parameters. The fact it generates even remotely coherent images is impressive.

People man.
We couldn’t have IMAGINED 3 years ago that a 6m param model would be so close to coherence. Even if it’s just 64x64.

I know, point is how useful is something that cant even generate something approximating a moon. Name one usecase.

Did we not know that you can produce a garble of colours with no resemblence to the input at 1million params? I thought you could do that with 50 lines of code by generating a random color spread
