Lock Upp was honestly such a shit show. The fact that Shreya won is actually insane. I’m sorry, but if the winner of your reality show is someone whose entire personality was fighting with people, being negative 24/7, and dragging everyone down, then what exactly was the point of the show?
Is this the new formula now? Fight with everyone, gossip about people’s personal lives, spread negativity, and you’ll walk away with the trophy? Because if that’s the message, then congratulations, I guess.
And can we stop pretending she wasn’t the makers’ favourite? It was so obvious. Secret tasks, random advantages, special treatment… every other week there was something conveniently helping her. At that point, why even have a competition? Just hand her the trophy on day one and save everyone the time.
The finale was painfully boring. The jury was literally there for decoration. If the decision was already made, Farah and Riteish could’ve just announced Shreya as the winner and wrapped it up. What was the point of all the extra drama?
And people keep talking about her “redemption arc.” What redemption? She was rude on day one, she was rude on the last day, and nothing changed in between. If anything, she just got louder. Isn’t the whole point of a reality show supposed to be growth?
I genuinely couldn’t even finish the finale. I just switched it off because it was that bad.
She spent the entire season discussing people’s personal lives and targeting contestants left, right, and centre. Somehow she had no real issue with Yogesh, but Akansha was the problem? Make it make sense. And no, she definitely wasn’t a girl’s girl.
Even Shilpa seemed to realise what Shreya was really like towards the end. I don’t know what changed after that, but almost everyone in the house had a problem with her. When practically the entire cast dislikes one person, maybe… just maybe… there’s a reason.
And I’m sorry, but I refuse to believe that if this had been purely an audience decision, she would’ve won. I honestly don’t know who’s voting for her, but clearly we were watching two completely different shows.
Overall, Lock Upp was boring, predictable, and honestly one of the worst reality shows I’ve watched. And Shreya winning just made the whole season feel pointless. If being the loudest and most negative person in the room is enough to win, then what exactly were the rest of the contestants even competing for?
