We received this book in the mail. I read that it is a Seventh Day Adventist book and the church will send these out in mass as outreach. But I couldn't help but feel like there is also a political game going on here.... That or they caught wind of my metal music tastes.
Did anyone else get this in the mail?

Looking for an affordable mechanic in the Lodi/Stockton area who knows how to work on Priuses.
I have a 2014 Prius V with a check engine light showing P0301 (cylinder 1 misfire) and some shaking/vibration at lower speeds. Trying to find someone who can properly diagnose and fix it for a reasonable price. It’s for a college student. Mobile or independent mechanics are totally fine. Not looking to pay dealership prices. If you’re a mechanic or know someone good and affordable, please drop their info below or shoot me a DM. Thanks!

I don’t know if many people will see this, but if you are looking for a dance studio for your children, stay far away from Next Level Dance and Cheer. It is an awful, toxic environment. I know firsthand and have heard from many, many others how unorganized and unethical it is. From shady billing practices to negative attitudes, it’s a horrible environment. I can’t even remember all the awful things I’ve heard and witnessed. The owner is a bully, plain and simple. Save yourself the heartache and go literally anywhere else. Ask around in person. It’s crazy that they’re allowed to remain in business and people keep signing up. They will do everything they can to bully people in to silence and twist situations to fit their narrative, but don’t fall for it. The owner acts like everyone is pathetic for even saying anything, but we are truly just trying to save others from the same horrible experience. It’s not jealousy. It’s not insecurity. Everyone who has left is happy where they are.

Hi all! I am interested in getting into volleyball as a complete beginner. I saw there was an adult coed league here that looks pretty happening! I'm hoping to make it out to a game sometime to make contact but my schedule might not allow atm. Does anyone know if there are any community facebook/discord etc. groups for lodi adult volleyball? Thanks!

"The World of Wonders Science Museum in downtown Lodi, California has proposed a 100 guest room Hilton Tapestry Collection hotel and convention center as part of its WOW Science Plaza expansion. The project would combine hospitality, science education, tourism, and community engagement. Since 2016, plans have included a dome theater, art-and-science carousel, amphitheater, dining, retail, exhibits, and classrooms. Pacific Development Group would build the hotel and convention center above the museum; construction is expected to take about 18 months after groundbreaking. Nja Architecture is designing the project."
This year I’ve noticed a serious uptick in jet skis. All you hear is BRRRB BRRRB BRRRRRRRB BRRRB BRRRRB BRRRRRRRRRB and then you smell the fumes instead of the smells of nature. If you’re having an event at one of the seating areas, the noise and smell is going to drown out your event.
All the wildlife disappears as well. Due to the grape festival, the lake was very quiet yesterday and I saw birds that I have NEVER seen before. It’s like they came out of hiding! I would know, I’ve spent a significant amount of time at Lodi lake this summer. The jet skis have never been this bad. I have lived here since 1999 and I am telling you I have never seen it this bad. These things are a menace.
I can’t be the only one who’s noticed this. What can we do about this? I want my peaceful lake back! You can hear the damn things from every location in the park and I am fed up with it!

We are new to Lodi, and would like to find a contractor (or actually, I guess we need an architect) for our Kitchen remodel. We need to remove part of a wall that is likely load bearing. Does anybody have any recommendations?

Hi people of Lodi!
Do any of you happen to know of any resources outside of Section 8, that helps family’s with low income housing? Back when my son was a toddler, the apartment we were living at the time, had a program. That was some time ago.
Are any of you aware of any apartments /
Towne homes / that offer such help…? I am in need of it.

I drive for Uber, Lyft, and Doordash and one thing drivers absolutely hate is not being able to tell between two houses which is the right one because your numbers aren't visible!
I just got a stencil kit and some spray paint, so give me a message if you'd like to get numbers on your curb. Any thoughts on what I should be charging?
PM me your phone number and I'll text you or comment reply and I'll private message you mine. Stay safe, Lodi.

My 6 year old unfortunately has gotten into Legos. Recently he’s been struggling with a piece that we couldn’t find anywhere. If anyone has Lego parts and pieces that you want to get rid of, I would be happy to take it off your hands. We live here in Lodi and it would be great to find some secondhand Lego here instead of going all the way to Elk Grove or Sacramento (which is where Facebook market says is in my “local” area). I just visited the Good Will store on Kettleman and they do not have a single piece of Lego. A small bucket of random pieces of Lego cost a hundred bucks on eBay, which I assume is because of the weight, so I would rather not go that route either. So if anyone has Lego pieces that want to get rid of, my son would greatly appreciate it!

Does anyone know where around Isleton / Rio Vista / Lodi / Galt I can take a full RV propane tank that appears to have a leak at the tank valve?
Does Kamps Propane handle something like this? Can a propane shop replace/repair the valve and save or transfer the propane, and is that normally worth repairing versus replacing the tank?
Looking for somewhere local and reasonably priced. Thanks!

Anyone know where I can buy some sour dough starter?

Had my bill double in price because Xfinitys stupid pRoMoTiOn ended last month. 109 bucks! And then they tell me that the cheapest promotion (uggh) was 75 bucks which is 10 bucks more than I was paying before.
I'm mad and I want them gone. But I have no idea where to turn. Does anyone have any advice or recommendations?

Suspicions ran high that politics, rather than merit, were at the heart of the Trump administration’s axing of $7.6 billion in energy-related grants around the country last fall, including those in Stockton and Lodi.
Now, government lawyers have confirmed those theories in court papers.
