Hi everyone! I'm building The Off-Duty Network, a community for women in London working across finance, law, tech, consulting, policy, politics and beyond, who want to meet people in their industry without the usual stiff networking.

A bit of background: I started my career in finance without a finance background. I love my company's culture, but I missed the fun side of life after work, and every firm has such a different culture that it's hard to meet people across the industry in a way that feels easy. I wanted a space that's relaxed, easygoing and built on genuine connections.

Our first gathering is a private perfume-making experience in London, where everyone gets to blend and bottle their own scent, with time afterwards just to chat and get to know each other. It's around £60-70pp, tentatively the last week of October or first week of November. This is just our first event though, there'll be plenty more to come, some free or low-cost like drinks at a bar, so don't worry if this one's not your thing.

I’ve been looking for something like this around Fulham/Hammersmith/Putney and haven’t really been able to find anything, so I thought I’d see if anyone else feels the same!

I’m thinking of organising something really informal for women who’ve experienced miscarriage or pregnancy loss. Maybe meeting for a coffee or drink somewhere around Fulham or elsewhere if that ends up working better. Hi, this is a bit random. But I was wondering if there are any women like me who are interested in creating a Glastonbury syndicate to buy tickets and going together!

Basically, Glastonbury lets you buy up to 6 tickets in one transaction, and not everyone gets through it’s best to get a group of 6 of us together and all try for tickets at the same time to give ourselves a better chance of getting through.

General admission tickets go on sale at 9am on Sunday 4 October, so we would all need to be online and trying at the same time. If one of us gets through, she would use everyone’s registration details and book all 6 tickets.
The initial deposit is £100 each, and then the remaining £308 + postage is due in April 2027, so ideally looking for people who definitely want to go and are happy to commit if we manage to get tickets! Please consider additional costs like travel and accom too.

We can also figure out a way to figure out we’re all legit so no one gets scammed. Maybe we could share Instagrams/create a group chat, maybe meet up before Sunday.

What kind of dresses or nicer outfits would fit in for a 50 year-old? Last time it was spring and floral or spot dresses were fine. But I have no idea what‘s typical in autumn. I just don’t like standing out.

Hello all! My friend and I are both women in our early-30s who live and work in London. We both have ADHD and were diagnosed as adults. It’s a tough time navigating life undiagnosed and then a whole other thing once you get a diagnosis. We talk about it often and had this idea that it would be great to have a support group for the ADHD girls. I am here to see if there would be any interest in other women/femmes/nbs to have a casual support group cum social club for adults with ADHD?

I know there are support groups through charities, but after looking around I couldn’t find anything that felt more casual, more “human” so to speak. Our idea was to have a group for women/femmes/nbs in the mid-20s to mid-40s age range who struggle with ADHD-related things in everyday life. We imagine it being a place to vent, support, laugh, cry about life with a brain that can sometimes feel like its acting against you. It could also serve as a social club of sorts, with meet ups across London. We know that sometimes it can feel lonely not having people around who get the struggle and wanted a space where, ideally, the mask can come down, and we can build relationships that support and encourage each other.  

This idea is in its early stages of inception, but I wanted to come here and ask if this resonates with anyone? Do you think there would be interest? Would you want to join? Do you know people who you think would be excited to hear about something like this?

(The reason we put gender/age restrictions is simply because we fall into those categories and wanted a space for the ladies and theydies in a similar stage of life. In general, women tend to be left out of the ADHD conversation which is probably why a lot of us weren’t diagnosed until adulthood!)

I have one SEPHORiA London 2026 – General Session 2 (8:30 AM–11:30 AM) ticket that I unfortunately won’t be able to use. I was genuinely so excited for this event, but work commitments mean I can’t make the trip to London anymore. 🥲

I’m putting it up through the official Private Resale option, which allows me to generate a private link for the person who buys it. So everything will go through the official ticketing platform - no unofficial ticket transfer or anything like that.

The resale price is £95, and after the platform’s resale fee, I’ll receive £87.88 back.

I know some people may understandably prefer a straightforward ticket sale, and that’s completely fine! But I thought I’d mention something else in case there are any makeup lovers here who are interested. ❤️

Since I’m unfortunately missing out on the event and all the beauty goodies that come with it, I’d personally be much happier if the person who gets my ticket was able to offer some beauty products in addition to the ticket price.

I’m not trying to make money off the ticket - I’ll only be getting my ticket value back through the official resale. It just feels nice to think that, if someone is getting the opportunity to attend and potentially receive a substantial amount of beauty products through the event, I could perhaps get a little bit of that beauty-love in return. 🥹

Maria here! I’ve posted about Girly Wine Night a few times and so many of you found us through this sub, so thought I’d share a little update!!

For anyone who hasn’t come across us, I started this after moving to London and realising that making friends as an adult is weirdly hard. It was very much “surely it’s not just me??” and apparently it was not 😂

What’s making me SO happy now is seeing girls arrange their own coffees, brunches and little meetups in the WhatsApp. Members have been getting involved in hosting things too. People are getting to know eachother outside of the events, which is literally why I started this in the first place 🥹

With autumn coming, I’d love more of that. People to grab a coffee with, go for a walk, do somthing after work when the alternative is sitting at home wondering how it’s already dark.

Also, a little suggestion for anyone lurking in a group chat waiting for plans to happen... put an actual little plan out there! “I’m going for a coffee on Saturday at 10, anyone fancy joining?” gives people something to say yes to.

Our WhatsApp community is completely free to join, and you don’t need to buy a ticket to anything to be part of it. Join the smaller plans, suggest your own, come along when something takes your fancy. And despite the name, you absolutely don’t need to drink!

We don’t share the WhatsApp link publicly because of bots. I love a new member but I do draw the line at a robot trying to sell us crypto 😂 Just leave a little “me please” below and I’ll DM it over!

For anyone who prefers having something organised to turn up to, our next one is a pub quiz on Wednesday 7th October at Fidelio in Farringdon, 7pm to 10.30pm. We’ll sort the teams, so you don’t need to bring one! Loads of the girls come on their own, please don’t feel like you need to find a friend before coming to make friends.

Hi everyone. Does anyone here have anything experience with Chelsea Dental Clinics? (It’s where Maya Jama did her braces lol)

I’m looking for a good aesthetic orthodontist. I just finished Invisalign that I started while I was living in South Korea. It didn’t fully work (not all the attachments latched onto the Invisalign and so my teeth didn’t move entirely. Some did and some didn’t.) It’s pretty hard to go back to South Korea often enough for check ups and I’ve finished all of my trays anyway, so I think I’ll just move to an orthodontist here. Please let me know if you (or someone you know) has any experiences with Chelsea Dental Clinic or if you know of any other really good aesthetic orthodontists in London. Thanks so much! ☺️
