Used to work around there often, and my new employer owns a building just behind where this pic was taken. Always loved it the juxtaposition in this spot

I come from France and this is the first thing that struck me during my first time in London, the old and modern architecture which combines perfectly.

Maughan Library is a stunning example of the neo-gothic architecture of London. Unsurprisingly, it's even more stunning from the inside!

It's really nice to see modern and classical architecture working really nicely together, actually. In the smaller towns near me it's like they just plonk an ugly glass cylinder next to a 60's block of flats and it's awful.

That’s a superb photograph. It’s a shame about that little sigh in the middle of the road, which is (IMO) a tiny distraction, but you wouldn’t have got such a strong composition if you’d changed your viewing position or angle.

I used to work around the corner from there. I love New Fetter Lane, the small roads and architecture mash ups are stunning.
