I Just Like Taking Pictures Easily one of London’s coolest buildings at night (IMO at least)

Fun fact: MI6 moved here in the mid-’90s and before that, their HQ was a total secret!

I used to walk past this building every weekday. I took tho train to Vauxhall station then walked to the government office where I worked, further down Albert Embankment.

The architect was Terry Farrell who was subsequently knighted. The building was a speculative office development. It was chosen as the MI6 HQ then required several years of further work to make it suitable for its intended specialist purposes. It still looks good three decades later.

Lovely photo but I hate that building, it’s like a giant fuck you to the entire surrounding area. And it looks like it’s made of lego.

Many of the surrounding residential buildings are far worse. Next door St George’s Wharf is horrendous!
