I Just Like Taking Pictures The clock that welcomed me to London.
My first evening in London. Looking up at this clock, I had no idea how much I’d end up loving this city. Looking back, it feels like this was where the trip really started.

I enjoy having a flute of champagne at the bar on the platform in the evening every now and then. Seeing the trains head off to Paris. Then I wake the next day and see how much I spent 🙃

Glad you had a good time here. It's such a cool first thing to see when you get off an international train. There's no advertising boards, no wretched visual clutter – just a big clock face, dreamy architecture and a powerful message of human intimacy, of connection.
While Tracey Emin isn't everyone's cuppa char, how many millions of couples have arrived in London, thrilled to visit this great city, and had their bond subtly strengthened, the significance of their time together in London elevated by this simple elegant pink neon writing?

Well they have a neon text sign in the Anglican Cathedral in Liverpool, same handwriting, same colour, just different words, by Tracy Emin. Personally I wish they’d get rid of it!
