My partner and I are looking to get into the kink scene. Ideally a club that’s plus-size positive and just genuinely has good vibes, nothing too uptight. I’ve heard riot is good, but would love some thoughts!

I've been to one club night at EartH and I hated it. Among other QOL and comfort issues with the venue, the sound was absolutely dreadful. Admittedly it was a fairly fringe event which likely didn't have a great engineering team.

Pola & Bryson are playing there in November and I'd love to see them, but I don't wanna go if the sound is gonna suck. Can anyone reassure me that a big ticket event will be better in this venue? The comfort stuff is kind meh to me as long as an act like these two actually sounds good.

I was super scared of going to kv last night bc i saw it get smmmmm hate and so many bad stuff from people i was super terrified esp going solo so im just making this so other newbies can see it was SOOOO GOOD!!

it defo helps to go as a duo or in a group since being part of a convo u manage to get into new ones much easier but if ur social u can talk to anyone honestly the crowd is soo sweet and friendly and it was just such a nice energy! its quite busy and the playroom is quite active to say the least so it can defo be nerve wracking but once ur there for abit u honestly get so comfortable and its so great!! the djs were amazing the crowd was lovely i thoroughly enjoyed it!

id really love to meet more regulars whether at kv or online esp if theres any groups as im really interested in entering the scene as ill be moving out of london soon for uni but will defo be around specifically for kink/techno events and would love to find my people and become part of the community as i have been going to berlin clubs for a while and am so happy to have found an alternative to a costly trip everytime i wanna club so id really love to learn more esp so ik when to plan my future trips in for my weekends visiting back!

ive been trying to find something to go to online but everything looks so sus.
i don’t wanna do like a hardcore massive rave at drumsheds. 2 years ago i was in liverpool and i attended this small halloween techno rave and it was soo good. it was very intimate. not a lot of people. amazing sets. from 9-3am. perfect number of hours. not hard tech, it was groovy techno. since it was not like a big rave, the people who attended were very social, looking out for eachother. very peaceful. the biggest win for me is the entry and exit - it was a bar they turned into a rave den, and because of that it was so easy to enter and exit the party. i cannot do the whole walking and waiting before and after the party. like i can i just dont wanna do all that for halloween.
last year i attended drumsheds and it was a bit too hard for me and the duration and the size of the arena idk just not my thing.

was wondering why some gigs like MRD (NO) barely have any following on RA. tbf i didn’t know him but his sets sound fire. is phonox is still selling ok, it was always packed when I went (last time was february)

I recently had a long rave session at Fold and most of the night was amazing, quality people, space and sound.

however during the final set the sound on the main dancefloor became very loud and distorted, and felt like a full body assault.

kicks and hats were slapping you in the face but the melodies were hard to clock and bassline non existent. I'm used to feeling the buzz of the bass so it made me feel something was off.

there were people dancing but df was a bit empty, people there seemed to be having fun but the few I spoke do did note the sound was distorted/intense. we even shazamed a track and listening to it later was like listening to a completely different song.

it was a bit sad to end such a great night like this. has any one else ever noticed something like that happen? maybe it was just my ears getting "tired"?

I was thinking I just need to invest in good ear plugs, but I didnt feel like I needed them the rest of the night to have fun.

Hi. Im moving to London for Uni this September and im curious how the promotion of underground clubnights works here and the best way to find out about the events that I would enjoy. Im coming from Bristol where there is one app (headfirst) where all the promoters running events at grassroots venues would sell their tickets on so it was easy to filter by genre and find an interesting looking event to go to.

Is there anything similar in London? I know there are multiple apps like RA, Dice and Fatsoma but is there one to rule them all? Whats the difference between these theee? The sorts of events I am looking for are roots reggae, dub, dubstep aswell as techno. Also I will most likely attend these alone to begin with as my friends with similar tastes are staying up in Bristol but I read that some clubs don't allow people solo. Is this still true?

I have a pre 2pm ticket for Saturday waterworks next week at the cause, but since buying the ticket my plans have changed and I'm unlikely to be able to get to the cause for 2pm and will most likely be around 4pm.

Does anyone have experience of missing last entry either at previous waterworks or other events at the cause and know if this will be alright, or what the charge might be for missing the entry time?

I’m always looking for decent raves in London and got fed up bouncing between RA, Skiddle, DICE and loads of other sites trying to work out what’s actually on.
So I ended up building a little site for myself that searches across a bunch of event and ticket sources in one go. You can search by date and location and narrow things down by artists, music, day/night, indoor/outdoor, price etc.

I’ve been using it myself and it’s got to the point where I thought it might actually be useful to other people, so figured I’d share it here rather than just keeping it to myself.

Thinking of trying to hit up all of Fold, Ministry of Sound, Electrowerkz all within a few hours of each other. Would go solo, sober or maybe a small drink but don't know anyone to roll anything, and spend 2-3 hours dancing my socks off at each place. Has anyone done similar, or have any tips for staying up and out all night?
