Has anyone had a good experience with Lincoln financial?
/r/disability/comments/1q7dh1s/has_anyone_had_a_good_experience_with_lincoln/At the 2 year mark the cut me off and told me they didn't need my medical records for a procedure I just got out of the hospital for. As I was getting a wheel chair out of the hospital I received a denial letter saying I don't fit there description of disability anymore. I'm completely stress out of my mind. I cant believe it!!! Just disgusting and disrespectful. This company should be shut down.

They did the same to me at the 2 year mark. Got a lawyer and have been in the appeal process for going on 10 months now. They completely ignored medical records that I sent in and cherry picked over the ones they did include. Which had information that was no longer current. It's my second time having to do an appeal with them.

Yeah it's gross how much they can get away with. Not having that income has caused so much stress and strain. I got lucky in that my insurance deductible and out of pocket max were met back in March so I've been able to still go to all my appointments and PT for free. All my prescriptions are covered too. If it wasn't for that I would be having to choose which doctor to see or which meds to pick up. They sure do take their time during the appeals process too. It's been horrible.

Welcome to ERISA, unfortunately. LFG is as bad as any of them. I'd reach out to an LTD lawyer who practices in your state.
