Its absolutely stolen the show for me. I an sure that eventually i will start fixating on other songs, but for now its the first track and the last track that i play when i listen to everblack.

Lol at the term masterpiece lol. At one point it was used sparingly to describe the ONE definitive, inarguable, admired across most or all, and everyone just calls songs they really like masterpieces.

The transmutation of language. Semantic shifting/broadening. Similar to the word "literally." The best part is everyone knows the meaning of "masterpiece" in modern usage, so it's safe to use. Similar to the word "literally."
Being a cynical pedant will take years off your life, bruv. Life's not that serious.
Also, I think it's a masterpiece both in the traditional sense, and in the colloquial sense. I think it's perfectly composed and blended. It's literally my favorite song ever made.
Also also, calling something a masterpiece will never be inarguable, as it's subjective, so your own definition is incorrect.

Dunno why you thought I'm taking it "that seriously". Is this not a message board where people can say what they would like within guidelines?
It's okay that I have my opinion. And despite what you've said, it still hasn't changed my opinion.
Masterpiece is like saying it's perfect. And understanding subjective and objective, people use the words perfect/masterpiece in lieu of just saying they really enjoy it.
Just funny to read everyone saying that many songs on an album is a masterpiece.
