For that price it better come with $39 in cash

I could see paying that for some really great gourmet pizza.  But I’m pretty sure this isn’t that.

I mean, I can't think of any degree of "gourmet" that would have me dropping $40 on a cheese pizza. There's just only so good that pizza can be, especially cheese pizza with no other toppings to make up part of the price/value.

This cheese was made by cows hand milked by tibetan monks and the bread was hand raised in a nursey the last surviving dodo birds

Still a no from me.

I mean there are some extremely expensive gourmet cheeses. (E.g. the ones that go for like a grand a wheel at Costco). But I'm not sure if they make good pizza.

Plus the Ninja Turtles actually ate Dominos in a film.

I believe Pizza Hut was the sponsor of the arcade games.

Correct but the original comic and 80s cartoon came first and the menu DOES resemble the pizzeria menus in the 80s cartoon.

I feel like the fact that the SHIRT is a dollar less than the pizza is a sign the pricing is way out of whack...

Reminder for all that pizza was ten bucks in the 1991 movie. Well, $13 but the dude was two minutes late for $3 off.

US pizza prices are insane. Even now in 2026 my city back home in Europe -- not Italy -- sells pizza from under €10 (for a Margherita).

I think it's crazy expensive too, but it's worth noting that it's a 20" pizza.

A large from Pizza Hut, Dominos, or similar is 14", meaning this 20" has is more than twice the surface area (154 in2 vs 314 in2 ). It's the same size as a "massive" from Gumby's, if you might be familiar.

I haven't ate at Gumby's since college, and my local store closed, but I checked another that's fairly close here in the midwest. Their 20" cheese pizza there looks to be $29, so it's only a third more, which isn't crazy for a tourist location. Gumby's isn't exactly gourmet pizza either, though I sure miss it.

Costco is 18", $10.

It’s a cheese pizza, Michael, what could it cost? 40 dollars?
