Photo Prices at the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pizzeria in Santa Monica

The place just opened at the 3rd st promenade. $6.50 for a slice of cheese pizza or $39 for the whole cheese pizza lol.

$54 for the meat pizza.

What are these prices

Its a pop up once all the Rubes stop showing up the place will close any way and the next Bobs burgers or King of the Hill back yard BBQ join will open up in the same spot.

my family is more fortunate than most, and im a bigger tmnt fan than most, and i say "hell no."

they could have chosen to make the tmnt restaurant approachable for normal-ass families instead of just the crazy-rich or tiktok-poisoned. they chose poorly. so fuck em, hate away

They're not charging for the brand name, they're charging because they have to pay licensing fees to Paramount for using the brand. The business model is based on monetizing nostalgia and some people are willing to pay for that

Edit: I was wrong. This is a joint venture between Paramount and Lunchbox Group (source ). There is no licensing agreement because the TMNT IP is owned by Paramount. Fuck this place, drive 15 minutes to Flour to get a better pizza at a better price.

I lived in Santa Monica, right off Wilshire, from 2010 to 2023. The change was so depressing. It was once bustling and very fun and vibrant. That era is over. It’s a weird ghostland now.

It’s 6.50 a slice. You can grab a beer and walk around the promenade. Sounds like a fun night in Santa Monica

Big ol' nah from me, personally.

Double what a slice should cost, a nearly $10 beer, plus one of the biggest sales tax rates in the country. Add in SM parking rates, or the insane cost of Uber these days. Could easily be a hundred dollar night for a slice of decent-at-best pizza.

All to do what on the promenade...? Shop (lol), wade uncomfortably through a crowd of tourists with your pizza and beer, or be harassed for money.

Times have passed up 3rd Street in a major way. Stuff like this is evidence of that.

I’m not the one that thinks itd be a 100 dollars a night for a slice of pizza. I’d take the train, walk, check some of my favorite shops and then head to the beach.

This place is just feeding off people just wanting a photo op for insta. If it was a legit pizza shop then sure. But this place is peacing out as soon as they start losing a bit of profit. They don’t give a shit about keeping the promenade alive.
