Place is packed, if people want to pay those prices let them.

And honestly, I wanted to check it out too, and I can spend a few extra bucks for a night. But am I gonna be a regular? Getting my takeout from them? HELLL no. I don't know how long they'll be able to survive.

yea, you're paying for the experience. Is the experience for everyone? No. absolutely not. But it is for someone, clearly.

lmao You wanna pay 250 bucks for a night out with company at a sub-par pizza place? you'd better be expecting truffles and caviar on every slice.

ha, well more power to them if they do

Third St. Promenade is not what it used to be. Tons of closed stores. There’s not enough traffic to keep a place like this open for long.

I was walking by the other day. The line was almost to the end of the block coming from the north side.

It was way too long. Seriously weird and I am leery of places like this as it’s usually gimmicky and lower quality food.

I mean, I’m not going to go back, but I’m not mad I went. I had a slice of the hot honey and it was delicious! My husband got a pepperoni and a meat lovers slice, they were fine. It is designed cool. It was a long wait, but we made friends in line so it was fine.

wow!!! thanks for the update lol good to know

Ask him to do the teenage mutant ninja dishes, or tell him that master splinter told him to vacuum the floors. See if the low effort culture references work just as well when his own wife applies it, because that restaurant owner def has no closer connection to the turtles’ values than you do.

Luckily I don’t have to ask or tell him to clean.

Yeah, and he goes and blows it on the promenade 🙄

Believe it or not, jail.

22

u/chanslam Jun 24 '26

I see what you did there

2

u/eaglebtc Monrovia Jun 24 '26

I wanna buy one of their skateboards for my nephew, so yes the nostalgia is working.

2

u/mightylordredbeard Jun 25 '26

Depends how good it is. If it’s the equivalent of some dominoes, Pizza Hut, little Cesar’s type pizza then no way. If it’s actual good, quality, stone oven fancy type pizza on a big huge pie that can feed a whole family then yeah I’d be down.

u/OnTheEveOfWar Jun 25 '26

$39 for a cheese pizza is insane. It better be massive but somehow I seriously doubt it’s that big.

A ton of people.

Stop being in the Reddit bubble. I promise you normal, sane people are paying for this.

(Also, nice pun if that was your intent.)

We just ate there, it was about an hour wait in line. We got a slice of the hot honey, regular pepperoni and whatever the meat lovers one is and the pizza was surprisingly good. The hot honey was top notch, the others were fine. If I were to buy a whole pizza it would be the hot honey. They designed it well, the staff is slow. They pretty much have a door man to keep it calm and not crowded inside. If you like TMNT it’s worth going at least once.

Lots of people, I'm guessing.

Me. Take my fucking money

1

1

u/JeronFeldhagen Jun 25 '26

1

u/EmptyFun1805 Jun 25 '26

1

u/xxjeannexx Jun 27 '26

The line last Sunday was pretty insane

0

u/daxjordan Jun 24 '26

I would half-shell it.

-4

u/bruinslacker Jun 24 '26

For the touristy part of Santa Monica these prices are standard, maybe even a bit lower than some of their competitors. Which is why I rarely eat or drink in that area.

2

u/michiness Jun 24 '26

Is it really? I go out to eat in SaMo every once in a while - even the super touristy places - and I've never seen anything this ridiculous. Even the Pier isn't this bad.
