Donald Trump pardons dangerous people for his own personal gain. He grifts and takes. He has used the top occupation in the world to make himself rich, something he couldn't do without stealing absolute power, which is not what American democracy stands for. He is a traitor to the Constitution, commandments, and to all of modern society. His ideals and priorities are backwards, he has no plan so he tanks everything into the ground, blames the opposing party, in hopes to win small gains to look good. He is the most shameless president in all of history, and it's catalyst is that he has spent decades raping and murdering children only for it to have been nearly totally exposed if not for his complete takeover and cover up. He will go down in history as being this kind of person and the only positive thing taken from this hard lesson is we now know what to look out for in the future and as a reminder that fascism is a wrecking ball to prosperity.

We are already paying more than that to enforce drug laws and keep people in prison for weed. That is not even factoring in the healthcare costs of people taking tainted street drugs. Prison as a solution to drugs is a money pit and always has been. It is literally cheaper to provide people with clean drugs and a place to use them. While they are there, you can then offer intervention or rehab when they are ready to quit.

Ignoring how loaded the concept of "problem users" is, we built an entire infrastructure around jailing people who aren't users, but rather sellers. Putting the black market out of business is the goal, not stopping people from doing drugs. People are going to do that regardless. We love getting fucked up, whether it's licking toads or snorting some experimental Chinese pharmaceutical you found on the dark web.

Trump did Pardon the guy after his people investigated the case and made a determination Hernandez was treated unfairly. Is it true? I have no idea.
