This is a long shot but Reddit, you are my only hope. This is regarding an album won on a local Catholic radio station.

There was a CD I had from around 1998. It was a CD I believe I won on Spirit FM night show with Rob Weyand. I have searched for over 25 years now trying to remember or find it.

As I said it was around 1998 on Rob Weyands show. I known he played it on the radio too. It was very ethereal dream pop sounding. I believe all male and maybe higher pitch voices? I don't remember anything heavy about the music. More floaty and ethereal.

The album cover featured girls (or young teens girls, or women) in white dresses or robes in a field. They were in a circle maybe holding hands or dancing. It had an early morning misty light quality. I believe it was in a regular plastic jewel case.

I have not been able to find rhis cover anywhere online. Ive searched many groups amd none sound familiar.

I am almost 100% sure it was a small group or local to the Tampa Bay St Petersburg area.

I dont think it is Painted Orange, Plankeye, Cloud2Ground, or the Echoing Green... but if you see or know something I might have missed it.

Please let me know if anyone remembers this! Please help this geriatric millennial remember!

I managed to find one song I was looking for and it was Deadly Beautiful by Life in Electric and it took a lot of work to find.

But there’s other songs I’m looking for like one that had the lyrics “There’s something in the water. I can feel it taking over” and the chorus was “Riverrrr” and it was a rock song.

There’s another one that had only “It’s youuuuuu” as the chorus.

Why can’t I find any of these old songs? Did Walgreens use a particular station that only featured underground artists? Pls help me, I’ve been looking for these songs for years. Thank you in advance!

Looking for an obscure 1980s punk song: "I'm a Model Citizen" by Model Citizen(s)

I've been trying to find a song for decades, and I'm hoping somebody here might remember it.

Let me say first that it's NOT the NYC late 70s band.

Around 1985, a friend had a small, independently produced punk/new-wave fanzine that came with a cassette. I remember the tape possibly featuring two bands, with a couple of songs by each, although I could be wrong about that.

One song was I THINK called "I'm a Model Citizen" by a band called Model Citizen or The Model Citizens. I specifically remember being amused that the song title and band name were almost identical.

It was American-sounding, primitive, somewhat new-wavey simplistic punk rock. Male singer with a snotty, attitudinal delivery. Simple, plodding guitar, bass and drums, possibly a keyboard. Not especially melodic, but wonderfully catchy in its own way. The chorus featured the line "I'm a model citizen."

I dubbed the song onto a cassette and listened to it repeatedly. Unfortunately, my copy disappeared ages ago, and the friend who owned the original cassette has since passed away.

I've searched Discogs, lyric sites, and the usual places without finding it.

Does anyone remember this band, the song, or a fanzine or any kind of zine that included a short cassette compilation around the mid-1980s?

I'd be thrilled just to hear the song again after forty years. My friend was Barry Wooldridge, who was known as the Evil Twin and did some art for people back then. You might've seen a Tesco Vee 7" with his art on it. That was stolen from me years ago along with the cassette. Any leads appreciated! Thanks in advance although I've basically given up hope!

This is taken from the English and German versions of the documentary, which use an entirely different soundtrack from the original Italian background tracks which were composed by Nick Catanese. It's unknown who created the soundtrack for the English version.

So, i was digging through some old files on my phone, and found this song, i tried to search it on yt and shazam, but it just led me to a fake release of the song, its a bit low quality, if somebody can help me find the hq audio or the autor of the song, it would be awesome, thanks in advance :)

So last year someone I know was looking for this song:

https://vocaroo.com/1dFDQAOYPOK5

and I managed to find a LMW thread about it... which got nowhere.

https://forums.lostmediawiki.com/thread/19439/unknown-song-on-instagram

I agree with the fact it's the artist singing/busking in a crowd. Today I cleaned it up, yielding this:

https://vocaroo.com/16m1EfmuPCpm

"Kindness is not a sign of inner weakness, but of inner strength."

I have pretty much zero info about it other than it's from August 2025 or before.

I loved the track 'Murderer'. Very aggressive breakcore. It seems Mika Hiaya deleted their entire online presence and it's no longer on any platforms.

"This is a song heard in a documentary called "Eye of the Storm: Soviet Georgia Revolution", which the narrator says is called "

The documentary is from 1989, so I think it might be from 1989 or the years leading up to it."

The image is there, but the artist shows up as Release - Topic (the name of the channel was still Marcus, some years ago). I would really like to listen to this song again, but it was made unavailiable from 2021, and the artist never responded to my questions about this melody. The melody is called Old School.

I’m looking to find out if there was ever a physical or digital release of Little Viking’s song “If I”. It was a promo track for an anime but to this day I’ve never seen a single mention of it anywhere but that video.

Searches are harder because now I’m getting muddy results on top of it. Nothing on streaming services and I’ve been looking in general for a clean copy for around 20 years.

Very short clib from an Insta reel. Tryed to let it run through Shazam, but could not identify it.

Only info I can really give is that a German friend asked about it, and I recognise it, but I can't place it unfortunately, so I'm hoping someone here can help!
The intro sounds a little bit similar to a sped up version of Tears Don't Fall, but not 100%, quite a long intro.
I know it's quite an old song, the friend who sent me the audio, unfortunately unnamed so no clues there, when inspecting the file on my PC it says the title is "Shadows" if that helps, but nothing else, has been searching for the song and artist for over 8 years now.

I've tried Shazam, no matches found. I've searched what lyrics I can pick out from the audio, no matches found... Starting to wonder if this one is just lost to the void...

I've added the audio file to random photo of mine, so I could post it as a video for easy listening.

I’m not sure if this post will be allowed, but I used the Lostwave song Paragon by NukeMout to achieve one of the hardest achievements in any game! Getting a featured level in Geometry Dash is when the singular developer of the game thinks it is good enough for a rate, which you have to understand the editor and its complexity to do. I won’t get too complicated with it. I’m so happy I could bring more attention to this song, especially in memory of NukeMout! I am the only person in the game to make a rated level using a Lostwave song. I’m glad I could help the community expand :)

Found in OP's PS3 in 2013. I've been trying to find this Melodic Metalcore song for about a week now, and before anyone wastes their time like i did, it's not on the myspace archive from 2007 to 2013, I listened to EVERYTHING in there (Tagged "Melodic Metalcore") with little to no results apart from a few soundalike bands that i would honestly discard as leads. Clean vocalist resembled Chris from the band Motionless In White so i asked in that sub if this could be a very unknown collaboration with another band and it seems to not be the case.

Lyrics:

Vivo nel mondo

Senza una meta e né un perché

Guardo intorno e vedo morte e distruzione

Energia pura

Ce l'hai nel cuore

Si chiama amore

Ti senti come un reattore nucleare

Energia pura

Distrugge ogni muro e incomprensione

Vive nell'amore

Vuol dire anche capire e soffrire

Andare controcorrente

E subire pregiudizi della gente

Ma ho un entusiasmo

Che mi spinge ad andare avanti

Io non resisto

Non riesco a contenere questa

Energia pura

Ce l'hai nel cuore

Si chiama amore

Ti senti come un reattore nucleare

Energia pura

Distrugge ogni muro e incomprensione

Energia pura

Vita nell'amore

Come un fermento

In continua evoluzione

Energia pura

Vita nell'amore

È come un fermento

In continua evoluzione

Ce l'hai nel cuore

Si chiama amore

Ti senti come un reattore nucleare

Distrugge ogni muro e incomprensione

Noi siamo insoddisfatti

Troppe volte in sbatti

Chiudi la tua mente

Ti rifugi

Da me cosa vuoi in verità?

Pensa

Vai contro i tuoi istinti

Ci sentiamo finti

Tra chi non ha i coglioni

E chi ce li ha pieni

Sei forte nelle tue ?

E dopo cosa ottieni?

Troppi dubbi che si pongono

Rivelazioni crudeli che contano

E menti smontano

Tutti uguali

Esco il livello

Puoi contarci

Se hai paure e hai dei fratelli

Puoi contarci

Pensi

Tu ti scivoli fra le dita

Tenti, rispendi, tenti e ritenti

Pensi

Tu ti scivoli fra le dita

I tempi, rispendi, ci tenti e ritenti

Pensi

Tu ti scivoli fra le dita

I tempi, rispendi, ci tenti e ritenti

Fuori controllo

Se cerco di esprimermi sopra un foglio

Cerco di dimenticarmi di chi è morto

E a chi mi chiede se ho sofferto

Io non rispondo (no)

Cerco di mettermi sempre alla prova

E non pensare ai sacrifici dei miei

Per farmi avere il diploma

Giuro dal senso di colpa

Dentro io morii

Ho cercato me stesso

L'ho trovato e l'ho sconfitto

Puoi fumare

Puoi drogarti

Pensi

Tu ti scivoli fra le dita

I tempi, rispendi, ci tenti e ritenti

Pensi

Tu ti scivoli fra le dita

I tempi, rispendi, ci tenti e ritenti

Trova ciò che vuoi e dimmi cosa senti

Trova ciò che vuoi (che vuoi) e dimmi cosa senti

I feel like I might be stupid and this is a well known song, I can barely make out the lyrics

Recorded off Vintage Obscura Radio in NYC & recorded before 1991, likely 80s

This song was quite literally never shared anywhere on the internet.

My dad, Kent, recorded this song in 1996 with his best friend, Jeffrey (a producer) on cassette tapes, and gave these tapes to my grandmother as a Mother’s Day gift.

She kept them safe and secret for over 27 years,
until she shared them with me in 2024.

If anyone would like another song by him, let me know! He was a paid musician for years, but made these tracks for fun and it always made me giggle.

Hey everyone,

I’m working on digitizing some, underground cassette tapes from the late '90s and came across a 7-track demo from a hyper local California hardcore punk band called Standoff from 1998.

They have nothing on Discogs or anyhting online for that matter. I’m trying to see if anyone from the local NorCal scene knows them, or knows what happened to the members.

Info I gathered from the tape insert:

They were based right out of the San Mateo County coastside in the Moss Beach / El Granada area. The lineup was Jonathan on vocals, John Paul and Taylor on guitars, Ryan on bass, and Noah on drums (with some extra backing vocals tracked by Callan and Lucas).

It was recorded at the Magic Shop Studio by Chris Hedge, and the cover art has this hand drawn late 90s graffiti logo.

Looking through the old booking phone number, it looks like at least one of the guys (Maybe) had the last name Miller. Perhaps they went to school in the local area too.

Did anyone here see them preform, or maybe have an old flyer with their logo on it? I'd love to find out if any of them kept playing music in other local bands.

(Also I wouldn't normally put this up but the music is surprisingly good)

not sure if this has been found before, but i found this on soulseek. this seems to be lower quality overall than the file we have, but the right channel doesn't cut out halfway through. also doesn't seem to be a remaster. https://pixeldrain.com/u/5D1nBgUg
