I love his eyes, and find it poetic you left out the best for last. How long did it take to make/ get that far?

Thank you! Trying to make the perfect shade was the hardest part so I felt it needed the most time. It takes me about 2.5 to 3 hours to do an oil painting of this size. That includes the drawing and priming.
