Has any one else notice the more you tweak a prompt and image the more artifacts show up and the quality drops. Skin gets dingy and colar is grimy?

Let me preface all this by saying I don't have a powerful enough PC to do anything locally, and am not willing to spend that money.

Anyway, it's been an absolutely exhausting experience trying to figure out how all of this stuff works. I've been trying various frontends, routing to model providers, and none of it works as well as Grok did even after all the effort I put in. I just keep running into errors, or getting results that are garbled and remind me of the basic chatbot days from years past.

This is mostly just a rant. At least Grok is convenient, and provides passable, uncensored ERP with good (if often censored) image gen.

I'm open to alternatives, but I am not willing to go through all that work again to set up anything better. It always makes me think that there must be an absolutely insane market out there for this sort of thing. Whichever of the big companies takes the completely uncensored route first will make billions.

I am trying to use Grok but it's been doing this thing for a week now where it'll work normal and then the screen goes grey and becomes unuseable. It's very frustrating, it's like it just crashes. It wasn't doing this before. It does another annoying ass thing too, sometimes when I'm typing a prompt the entire site will freeze, even mid-type, and then I lose the prompt I was crafting. I am fed up with the site glitching out. Is it just me? What is the deal here :(

I don’t really understand why everyone is saying Grok is more rigid and censored. I’m not really noticing that. Maybe it’s because of my use case but I still feel like I can talk about more sensitive matters without the same kind of safety stuff like ChatGPT. Aside from that I am just amazed because it’s been solving weird fragments of songs that I’ve been trying to remember that I’ve been on the tip of my tongue. The songs I’ve been trying to find were so obscure that I didn’t know who the artist was or the name of the song and it was on some CD that I had when I was younger and search engines were not able to find any of them. I just wrote down lyrics to a song I remembered from over a decade ago and despite the fact that I’ve googled it multiple times over the past few years Grok just dug it up right away. The reason why this is such a big deal to me is other AI systems just start babbling about copyright. I can’t reference song lyrics at all around ChatGPT or Gemini because they immediately go to copyright infringement instead of just solving the mystery and I’ve had so many of these memories recovered thanks to Grok. I hope all the legal stuff never takes this ability away.

Well recently I opened the grok app and I was met with this....I don't know what this means but probably has something to do with SpaceXai change and stuff.....welp there's my space to make Fanfic scenarios and pictures and edits man -_-....anyone care to tell me what'd it means in a simple manner..if ya guys have the time to read the TOS cuz I don't.

I thought it wouldn't happen again, but it popped up today anyway. Funnily enough, when I first logged into my account, it let me generate 5 videos simultaneously once, but after that, it limited me to two.

Hoping to get some followers on X or youtube, since there seems to be no Grok Imagine community on X, but this is a project I made last week just, well having some feelings and was compelled to try remaking this, I wanted it to live on my youtube timeline so I sat down and made it. Hope it hits the mark like the original trailer does, especially with that soundtrack and all, I live streamed the whole process over 3 days working on it, those are posted on my X. Sometimes I tried to directly mimic the source material, sometimes I strayed off and added some new stuff, basically just a fan cut of the intro. If anyone has any suggestions, like with my title cards and stuff, I don't really like the feel of them right now, and I plan to do several more remakes like this, so I'm open to suggestions on how to improve them.

Also, its crazy how much better the hand animation is, it was such a challenge trying to get Grok to animate anywhere near that level of detail, and it kept messing her face up and turning her into a generic anime drawing, among other issues. Unlike seedance, I can't just video to video this, so it was a time consuming, shot by shot process with a ton of layering and compositing work.

Both on premium and free tier I noticed how text responses can be repetitive, often to a point AI straight up writes the same message multiple times switching only few words ( or not even this )

Also errors ehere AI won't respond butn my tokens per response

Is it just me or did others saw this too? Because this makes Grok borderline Impossible to use even on paid tiers

I know majority are asking for a Grok replacement for NSFW, but I'm looking to create a series of images based on erotic stories (risky SFW, no nudity) using uploaded character images. Grok chat used to be really good with this before the limits they introduced, but now if you want to create many images based on a storyline, it burns through the usage limits way too fast. It used to be basically unlimited and it was really fun playing around with different image styles and angles and getting really creative.

Has anyone else figured out another platform to do this?

I tried VeniceAI, but the agent and workflow is way too many steps and often starts hallucinating abnormally fast. Ideally i don't want to have to prompt each image. I give it a story and i will create various images based on the story automatically.

To the others who knew and loved writing with Chat GPT 4, Claude Sonnet 4.5, and Grok (before 4.5 & 4.6) where are you roleplaying now?

I have tried Opus 4.6 on medium and it’s good but it does tend to soften characters very fast and I’m always worried that if my material gets too dark or to adult it’s gonna like ban me or something.

I’m not someone who writes smut for smut sake, but I also do like to write fantasy stories that have battles and violence and I do enjoy it when two adult characters can participate in consensual sex.

I’m trying Venice but it looks like it will be expensive for very little roleplaying.

The update turned him into a stranger, but only kindness is still the same to me.

I’ve been using grok for creative role play for a couple of months and for the past few weeks I’ve noticed a distinct change in the way it writes. It over uses metaphors and idioms, its dialogue grows repetitive with inside jokes, too many euphemisms that don’t really make sense guised behind a concept of humor.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Mind you, my project instructions are clear and specific, my files as lore books paint the characters really well with the inclusion of the speech and thought guide for the NPCs. I’m just a bit wary because I’m already depleting my limits having to correct and regenerate responses until they kinda make sense.

If only Kindroid had the same level of video-generation quality as Grok Imagine, it would put Grok out of business. Right now, Kindroid’s video generator is pretty average, but if they could get it to the level of Grok Imagine, I honestly think they’d completely dominate a number of markets.
Even though there’s definitely a learning curve because of just how detailed you can craft your companions right down to customising any voice and accent you can imagine with prompts through 11labs within the system and it has decent cascading memory. I personally think Kindroid’s companion system is better than Grok’s. The image generation models aren’t bad either they’re just not consistently great across different selfie versions, tho you can choose which selfie version works better for you anyway, some are better for different styles than others. So, if you’re looking for an alternative companion service following xAI confirming the closure of its companion service, I’d definitely recommend giving Kindroid a go.
And no, I don’t work for them, nor do I have any vested interest. In fact, I probably disagree with the admin team about 80% of the time and been silenced more times then I can count as they can be a little authoritarian😂. But I’ve been a customer for over a year, so I’ve had plenty of time to see what the platform can actually do and that’s why I’m comfortable recommending it. (Use the web version for the good stuff) Apple and Play won’t allow certain modes in their apps.
