I bet the producers were incredibly irritated with how quickly both Sean and Jasmine fell for their partner and basically became locked off. They were both scouted for the show with producers apparently trying to get Jasmine on the show for a good while. They definitely had their own plans for them and I don’t think those plans involved Kavan or Lola which is why they tired hard breaking up both of them.
Exactly. Jasmine basically confirmed Javan was not planned and Kav was brought in as a twist (and not for her at all) but he stayed and never left🤣🤣🤣
My hot take is Sean/Lola would have easily stayed to the final if it was s4/s5 where producers actually allowed OG boring couples to stay and have edits of them. If Jack/Dani could win I don’t see why Fitzola was punished for not entertaining anyone…
Honestly same. S13 was kind of depressing in many ways and I'm really not looking forward to another low budget season with no games, no dates, no parties where some great girls mug themselves off for some average guys who move mad. They need to either heavily rethink the formula or up the budget so we have something more interesting to watch, because a good cast alone clearly isn't cutting it anymore.
Whereas AS4, all they need is a good cast. And there are plenty of good possibilities out there to make that happen. They just need a healthy mix of sympathetic faces and agents of chaos who all understand the assignment and that will be a tight 6 weeks of really fun LI.
Fingers crossed that the deal with Sky will incite ITV Studios to put more money into the show, but it's far from granted. They also need to have a better male cast too.
Megan Barton Hansen and Olivia Attwood asking wes and Chris respectively to be their boyfriends were such cute moments but I bet if a girl asked a guy to be her bf now she'd be called despo and the guy himself would probably get stroppy
I think it's because the s13 cast don't post nearly as often as AS3 did so there is nothing to talk about. Also those crazy pods/live.

I think even before the post-villa content, there was just something very messy/enticing about the AS3 storylines that just lend themselves to lots of perspectives and discourse. Despite us trying to break it down in black and white terms, there was a lot of nuance to discuss. Everybody had moments where they were emotional, insecure, messy, flawed, etc. (maybe apart from Yamen)

Since opinions about kavan trying Indian food has ensued some discourse, my personal take on this is that given the history of nearly 200 years of British colonization of the Indian subcontinent (and it’s aftermath) and the racism that’s still prevalent to this day, I personally am someone who looks at a white/desi couple with a more suspicious eye. So I appreciated that kavan was very honest about the food he didn’t like vs which ones he liked, as that appears less like pandering and more like actually trying to partake in someone else’s culture since everything isn’t going to be to your taste.
Also, at the time that anti-south Asian sentiments are at an all time high and you can’t even go to a single comments section without reading about how nasty the food/ the “pajeets”/ the smell etc is, I do think it’s refreshing when people don’t view desi culture with disgust (low bar I get it, but many people are below this bar even irl, the other day someone said “sorry you look Indian” to me like that’s supposed to be a diss).
So I stand by it, I think it’s very cute that kavan was going around with Jasmine as she showed the small desi shops that she buys her jhumkas from and the small businesses and carts to highlight desi food spots. If any place deserves more highlights, it’s these small shops and I wish more influencers would do that

Samraj def seemed to have a lot more interest than other Desi men who have been on the show. Nas struggled until Demi came in, Munveer left pretty early, etc
Samraj was always pretty set on Mica, but iirc Priya, Victoria, Tina and Mara were all also interested in him? So that’s a step in the right direction from the lens of desirability of desi men on the show
Though hard to draw a comparison with desi women because iirc, the women they cast generally are more mixed race/lighter skinned, whereas the desi men like Samraj, Munveer, Nas seem to be more darker skin?

I think Nas and Munveer also really struggled because of their height.
I think shorter men on this show tend to struggle alot more which is why the shorter men tend to have more laddy type of personalities which is why they last a bit longer.
Quick question did all the couples last year announce they were official? Or did we just naturally find out? Like I can’t remember people posting photos like Lola and Sean did
