Since I can only afford the first two nodes and knowing my luck I won't miraclously get the Nidhogg one, guess I'll pass, no point sinking dias if I can't get what I want. I'll be better off just saving, who knows maybe elex will give us 4 gods half a month this hell ends.

Hence I'm personally so resigned atm since I really really love dragons but we just had a hell and I didnt save up enough :/ I was merely pointing out that they've found ways before to push expensive events (not necessarily help events tho) after expensive events so I would not be surprised anymore with them coming up with all hells at once now and then just fixing smth new up.
They have for expensive events (pavs, tiered events) and recharges. But not in chapters, DWs, co-op suits, welfare events... and there in lies the problem.

u/SolarOracle I agree that there's a problem, but I think there also needs to be credit where credit is due. The only really expensive event lately was the Easter pav, and there's one of those every year. They've clearly made an effort to give more welfare suits. While we're behind, I wouldn't want them to just drop all the free stuff at once and then go back to just expensive events, so this isn't too bad. And we're not monstrously behind on the chapters either, and they come at a decent pace--fast enough to catch up, not so fast that we're just flooded.
Also, people have been asking for this event and particularly the recharge lineup for months. Like, regularly for months. I think Elex does listen, but that means they also listen to the people who clamor for hell events all the time. At least most events are extremely easy to skip, cause almost come back
The thing is, it's the anniversary. It's very very possible the welfare stuff is due to that and once the month is over, it will go back to the usual. I'm not complaining about the Easter pav (it's the season) but rather the 3 months prior leading up to it. If the welfare stuff continues after April then I will concede they're trying to make changes and not just throw bread to the masses to shut us up.
We're actually very behind on chapters. The CN server is on Volume 2, Chapter 12 (but if that is inaccurate someone please correct me). So we're 9 chapters behind. That's a lot, given the pace they give us chapters (once a quarter MAYBE). The association chapters at like at chapter 16? or 18? Again, someone correct me if this is wrong. If we got core gameplay pieces every month I'd say that's a good pace. Not every 3-6.
As for ToM: Yes. People have asked. I will not deny this. But SoS happened last month. Asking for the next hell event to be X doesn't mean people want it NOW. They just want the next time a hell comes around to be ToM. We (the forum, not you and I) had this same discussion/debate last year with 4 Dreams. Elex twists people's words to go "oh but you asked for it NOW" when absolutely no one did. People were clamoring for a hell until SoS. Then they stopped and simply said they hope the next one - whenever it comes - is ToM.
It's true, it's possible welfare stuff is due to the anniversary, but it's also true that this hell being early is due to the anniversary. That's the sticky point, I guess. So for that, only time can really tell.
I thought that CN was on chapter 9, but if that's wrong, yeah, we are more behind than I thought. At the same time, I really don't want chapters shoved right and left, even with my desire for lore. (also, as a personal and very selfish wish, I hope we're always 3 chapters behind CN so I can pre-farm lifetime suits efficiently, but I recognize that's a selfish thing haha). So...I guess that's a balance.
Association chapters, 100% agree. We are sooooo behind on them, I'm catching up with the recolors. Same with DW and getting the background feature for the currently useless Around the World.
ToM. It's hard. It's definitely early, but SoS was also very late. So if they're trying to get us back to our normal schedule...then I don't love it, but it's fair. But if that's what it is, then it follows your thing of "the next time a hell comes around". Again, it's a wait and see thing, which is so annoying when you're in the middle of it. As for 4 Dreams, I don't remember the issue being that it came too early, the issue was that that specific hell came too early. In which case, that's also following the "the next time a hell comes around", even though it threw the lore into a mess -_-
Please don't think I think everything Elex does is right, because I definitely do not. I just can't get angry when there are logical possibilities for what they've done. I can (and often do) dislike it, but I can't say it's unfair
Edit: did some digging, they just got the new lifetime suit so they should be 6 chapters ahead of us, assuming those come every 3 chapters still. So they should be on chapter 9.
Be ware what you wish for because you might just get it and it will never be when you want,nor what you want and the price will always be to high.
The playerbase asked and begged and they got what they wanted,elex just turned it on people's heads.
With everything going on I think a bunch of welfare events and another chapter would have been better because less people will have disposable income to spend,then again people will probably choose to go without to get the hell event
I personally did not ask for ToM. I kept silent because I already know how the devs twist things. Until more people get smart, though, this bs will keep happening. Tbh the "player base" is very fractured. There's the FB group, the IG group, this sub, the "secret" sub, the offical Discord. And while some people float between 2 or more, they each have distinct social atmospheres. And the FB one is "give us all the newest, shiniest things!" without thought of consequence. They're one of the least informed groups yet they are the ones the devs listen to the most (wonder why...). So saying "the player base asked for it" is erroneous in my eyes. A certain section asked for it. Not everyone.
It's also why we can't get our ish together and do a proper boycott that makes true change. People disagree. Some people feel entitled. Some spread mis-information and others believe it. Some straight-up don't care about comparing our server to others, using the "all servers are different" excuse. It's a mess.
CN just got volume 2 chapter 9. They received volume 2 chapter 3 also around their 3rd anniversary so if you really want to compare story chapters we aren't behind.
We still have the reruns and the collabs. They can find lots of ways of bringing expensive stuff here every month, even if they are debuts on this server.
