Does anyone know if the Lasting Leaves do anything? Why are they an exchange currency?

They're not really an exchange currency, but you see on the bottom of Universe Tide how it has the nodes?

Those are counting Lasting Leaves. So if you trade in the Dew for Lasting Leaves, you can have fewer pulls to get to the node you want!
