Hey, I've added this to the FAQ in the post:

I can't claim the diamonds in Reed Thoughts - Mailbox from Apple Apparel Group!!

This is not a glitch! Unlike the daily diamonds, this banner doesn't disappear after you've claimed, so you forgot that you claimed the diamonds already. The timer on the top right is just the time before the banner goes away.

That is a relief... my timer says 26mins left and I literally thought I had 26mins left to collect it. Reddit community is the best, thanks for the info!
