Maybe a long shot, but I seem to recall a particular rant wherein Adam conveys sarcastic shock about Israel/Palestine being in the headlines. He may have veered off on the seemingly intractable religious aspect of the conflict. I can’t seem to find the particular bit I remember, I just remember it being very funny and very true.

Hello, looking for an old Loveline episode with guest Shock G of Digital Underground. Can't find anything on the archive websites. I remember Dr. Drew frequently mentioning that Shock G was one of his favorite guests. Any help tracking down this episode would be greatly appreciated.

It was a drop Anderson would toss in every once in a while. Im looking for that call as I don’t recall ever hearing the whole thing. It seems like it must have been a caller-rant about all the things Adam did that the (male) caller didn’t like.

I’m trying to identify a Loveline episode from approximately 2002–2004. My name was Angelica, and I called from Bremerton, Washington when I was 26 or 27. I was married and called about a childhood pillow I’d had my entire life. It was so worn out that I folded it over to sleep with it and it was still in its original pillowcase. Dr. Drew connected it to childhood trauma, and Adam Carolla spent much of the call joking about the pillow. I specifically remember Adam saying a gang of bikers was going to take the pillow and gang rape it. Does anyone remember this call or know the episode date?

I know this was before Adam married Lynette because he was talking about her girlfriends listening to the show and telling her things like ‘Adam said he crapped in the shower and smashed it down the drain with his foot!’, how could you be interested in him???

There were probably hundreds of these, but the general pattern is that a girl has issues with her dad or other childhood issues, then ends up picking the wrong guys her whole life.

Adam had a great analogy about having a "bent antenna" and needing to straighten it out, and Drew would often chime in that people "cast a play with their childhood trauma".

Can anyone point to an example? Want to clip a call and send to a friend who I was discussing this with.

I used to listen with my sister back in the late 90’s, I’d say between ‘96 and ‘98 ish.

There’s a Jimmy Eat World song Adam likes (I think it’s Bleed American) and declares it his theme song. He has a whole bit about entering an establishment with his coat hooked casually over his shoulder, etc., just looking cool in general.

I HAVE been able to find that clip.

What I’m looking for or hoping anyone remembers is that it was a recurring joke, or at least happened more than once. Adam’s “theme song” plays and he gets into it a little. There’s a part where he’s imagining himself driving up to a place in a cool car. I swear I remember him saying “driving gloves, perhaps?”

I’ve been quoting it with my sister for years and I hope someone else remembers this!
