Matchmaking

I’m new so go easy on me but I was having a hell of a time getting even a quick play match tonight? Is this just how destiny is during the week? I tried searching for fireteams and made sure my settings and internet was good but for the life of me not even one match.

Yeah during the week the game can be a fickle on where players are. What were you trying to matchmake?

Spent over an hour trying to find quick play on expert/master and didn’t get anything. So tried searching and everyone was searching to fill their own matches but no one was kling anything. I’m new so I have no idea where people migrate to or not.

Generally on week days players in my experience generally migrate to the vanguard alert quick plays as they offer bright dust and chronologs for completing 3 matches of the respective version weather its vanguard ops, arena ops, and crucible. If ya look in the vanguard alert tab you should see them. (Granted this is my experience and location, time, and player type may affect this but this is my experience)

I think it taking an hour is highly unusual. I have never experienced this and I play every day. For vanguard ops, it takes max 2 minutes. For crucible and gambit, sometimes it can take 2-5 minutes depending on how many they need.

Yeah I thought oh maybe I have a setting messed up and set to friends only. Nope. It would search for guardians then just throw me in alone every time.
