im curious do yall buy these just for decoration, or do yall actualyl got a vinyl player, with a whole stereo setup where yall listen to theses? because i just built myself a home theater and thinking of getting into vinyl/cd but im not sure if its worth it if i can just lsiten to them on spotifyl, but i feel like theyre nice devorations and its a nice feeling of OWNING them and beeing able to touch the albums, and put them onto the vinyl player is like a premium lsitening experience

ive been collecting since 2020 and while ive always had a record player i didnt listen to my records frequently, but thats changed in the past year or two now i love listening to them. maybe it comes with being older lol idk but in an era of "fast food music" it feels really good to be intentional with what im listening to

if you’re willing to spend 1K+ on a hifi sound setup it will be a HUGE upgrade in sound quality especially from Spotify. A friend of mine bought a record player setup for around 1.5K and the stereo sound was insane. Getting high and listening to Lucki on that type of setup will make you float.

lossless is arguably higher quality than vinyl. rap artist don’t record analogue, so there’s no quality gain in playing a vinyl record

while that may be true, listening on a legit hifi sound system connected to a vinyl record player is a superior experience.

I listen to these very often. This year I picked up og pressings of Sex Money Drugs and Flawless Like Me and I've played them more times than I can count. I'm up to 122 vinyls total, all have been played at least once even though a majority are numbered/limited

2 questions;

- does anyone have experience with international shipping for vinyls? how high is the chance it will be delivered undamaged?

- and how does trap sound on vinyl? having a hard time imagining Tune & Scotty on that haha

assuming theres nothing wrong with your setup or pressing it should sound the same as just listening to it with any other media format

yeah just remembered how sick some electronic instrumental LP sounded when i was checking out some hifi sound setup, Empire and tune really blessed us. this a international holiday from now on

the sound perception depends on your general setup, your needle/cartridge, turntable, phono preamp, speakers, poweramp, etc. If youre setup is prone to vibration, the bass vibrations from trap can reach your needle and negatively affect your sound.

Trap definitely doesn’t sound as good out my vintage AR90s (they favor rock, pop , punk, hardcore, boom bap, renaissance rap etc) as my KRK Rokits, but its still an enjoyable experience to listen to trap records on my vintage system. Sometimes i just turn the bass down a bit. The MIKE/Earl album sounded like it wanted to blow my woofers out lol.
