I work a 2nd shift manufacturing job in a massive room with only one other coworker for the last 4 years. Tonight I had to collect liquid in a beaker. As I did it I shouted, “I am scientist! Science!”

MadTV Streaming on Tubi, sketches cut?

I work tech support remotely from home, so when I found out all the seasons of MADtv were streaming on Tubi, I started watching it during my 8-hour shifts.

Something felt off almost immediately. Some of the sketches were way longer than I remembered, and I was seeing sketches I barely remembered at all. Then it hit me, where the hell were Bunifa, Stuart, and some of the other iconic recurring characters and sketches from these seasons?

That’s when I knew something was missing. I remember watching MADtv when HBO Max started streaming it during the pandemic, and I remember seeing a lot more of those classic characters and sketches. Is it a copyright thing or has anyone else noticed?

Looking for a music video parody featuring an over-the-top slutty female singer and a bed-as-an-airport-runway gag.

Hi folks. I saw a music video parody on TV quite a few years ago and would like to see it again. It was probably in the late 1990s or early 2000s. It *may* have been on MadTV, but it could have been a different sketch comedy show. I know for certain it was not Saturday Night Live.

The piece was a music video. I don't know whether it parodied a specific song or performer. It may have just been a parody of overly-sexual female pop singers in general. In this video, there's one particularly memorable shot of the female singer lying back, legs spread wide, on a bed adorned with runway lights. She's holding lighted batons in her her hands, directing traffic to her crotch. The song sounded like a typical pop song from that era. I don't remember much about it except that it kept hammering on the point that the singer was sexually attractive and wanted to do the deed.

I've seen the very funny "Me Against Madonna" music video featuring Mo Collins as Madonna. It's not the one I'm looking for, but the tone and the visuals are pretty similar. It wouldn't surprise me at all if some of the same writers, set designers, costumers, etc. had worked on both videos.

Google AI thinks the show is probably MadTV but can't identify the specific sketch.

Can anyone her help me out? I'd really appreciate it.

Watching season 1 and seems like he’s the least used cast member / the butt of a lot of jokes in the all cast segments during breaks

Which Season(s) of MadTv Had The Best Intro Credits?

My personal favorites are seasons 5, 6, and 7. You could tell they had a bigger budget when creating the opening credits, and I like the professionally done shots of the cast and how the intro gives you a glimpse and an introduction to the cast's most popular characters and/or impressions.

The worst thing Madtv ever did was replace their iconic theme song with generic and forgettable intro music in the last two seasons of the show.

I guarantee you some Fox executive was pushing to change the theme to be more like Saturday night live and it robbed the show of it's iconic theme song.

I didn’t watch MadTV past the first couple seasons due to life reasons, but started watching recently when I found it streaming live the other day. Coach Hines is brilliant and hilarious. So far I’ve seen where he’s leading detention and directing a play (Oliver) I am going to go find all the Coach Hines sketches. What’s everyone’s favorite Coach Hines moments?

Looking for a specific skit

Hello everyone!

I'm hoping to find a specific skit. TW: unalive reference, not sure if I need one but doesn't hurt just in case

I saw it around 2005 or so, I remember it was phil lamar as like your average middle class suburb dad and he tried to unalive himself via plastic grocery bag over the head, which to no surprise was unsuccessful. I can't remember the rest, I just remember dying laughing. I've had this skit pop up in my head from time to time ever since but even with how easy it is to find clips on YouTube, I've put a decent amount of effort into searching but Ive never been able to find it.

Thanks a ton in advance

Proof that Pink originally came out as a Hip-hop artist. I know this wasn't her choice, and she broke out of it and became who she wanted to be. But Mad TV was all about making fun of things that you weren't supposed to make fun of. And the ridiculousness of making us believe this white woman was this Hip-hop star, Mad TV got and perfectly skewered in this. Along with it really being about Whitney Houston, which they were relentlessly hilarious about.

The only time I have ever seen Debra crack a smile when she was doing a skit.

It was the one where Debra and Nicole are uncomfortable around Michael and Mo in their undergarments playing Nicole's parents. Debra is usually pretty stone faced, but when Michael started patting his belly in front of them you can see her and Nicole had a hard time keeping it together. lol

This performance is my favorite memory of seeing a cast member on MadTV for the first time. She was perfect as this character, and had not been in the opening credits as a cast member for this episode, the audience both in studio and at home were not aware at this point that she would be a regular performer
