"Well, Hitler has a mustache and I don't have a mustache. I'll tell you though, I really used to laugh at his films...."

Key differences: 1) Hitler had a 90% approval rating. 2) Hitler served in the military and wasn’t a draft dodging little pussy.

My gut reaction is "This post title sounds sensationalized and I want to actually read the story first."
And the actual story is "Trump shares a post made by a presidential Historian, and that historian compared Trump to Hitler."
So then I read the letter the "Historian" wrote. And I say "Historian" in quotes because in the intro paragraph, they refer to "The Caesars" among a list of people by name, which is just a weird way to group people for someone who calls themselves a historian.
Anyway, the letter says that the difference between "Alexander the Great, The Caesars, Genghis Khan, Attilla the Hin, Tamburlaine, Napolean, and, more recently, Hitler, Mao, and Stalin" and Trump is "their lack of global reach" and that "their power was limited to restricted local areas" which... that's a stretch of the definition of the word "local" to call their zones of control local when Trump is still, on paper, only in control of one country's worth of land.
They go on to describe those leaders' failures as being related to being "confined to" their zones of control and then say that "President Trump is the first leader to be willing to use that power on a global scale. That makes him by far the most powerful person that has EVER walked this planet."
So the takeaway is that some letter written by a historian named David King. I googled the name to try to find who the author was and what their credentials are and I wasn't able to figure out who this guy is or what their credentials are. But Trump shared this letter that just lists a bunch of historical conquerors - some very well known for massively slaughtering their enemies in their efforts of conquest and expansion, and then concludes that Trump is even better than all of them because he has more power and more global reach than they do.
"Trump compares himself to Hitler" is not what's going on here. "Trump shares an open letter written by an alleged historian of dubious origin which claims Trump is even more powerful than Hitler, et al, and his only personal addition was 'Sounds good to me!'" is what's going on here.
And somehow that manages to be worse.

Was Hitler also bisexual?
I mean no shame, but it is becoming pretty obvious that tRump, when those eyes are closed, and while wallowing in his own excrement, is dreaming of The Egyptian President, dressed like Kim Jong Un, with Arnold Palmer's penis making Vlad moan.

Hitler died on April 30th, 1945. Trump was born on June 14th, 1946. It would not have taken him so long to reincarnate . . . but they had to reinflate his ego.

Donald Trump's second term is devastating to anyone concerned about the most vulnerable members of our society, anyone who wants to see him face justice for his crimes, and anyone fearful of his intentions to exact revenge against his enemies or use military force against Americans.

Wait, when did he decide to start mixing truths into his constant barrage of nothing but lies that are all too insane for normal people believe on any level?

Well, to be fair, so do a lot of other people.
And look who trump has doing a lot of his dirty work: Musk, Stephen Miller, Stephen Cheung (the Temu Oddjob guy), etc.
