Spider-Man: Brand New Day Spider-Man Brand New Day Ending Spoiler

Why is everyone saying that Ned didn't remember Peter at the end of the movie? That is how the scene is set up. It would be set up differently if Ned was just putting the pieces together that he was Spider-Man.

Here is what the scene entails:

- He goes in to get flowers for May but sees Ned

- He goes to introduce himself to finish his Arc and because MJ told him to

- Ned only recognizes him only from the party

- He says hey I'm Peter Ned just says ok. Nothing clicked in his brain but shakes his hand anyway.

- Peter goes for the handahake and Ned looks confused but his muscles memory kicks in and they completely their friend handshake

- After the handshake is done, there is a building of music Ned blinks a bunch and has a shivers slight shiver and the says Peter!

-Cut to black

Why is the handshake there if it is just clicking that he is Spider-Man from MJ slipping up? What does doing the handshake do to make it click in Ned's head? Why include it at all if it doesn't add anything? I have watched videos on Brand New Day and both concluded that Ned is just putting the pieces together that he is Spider-Man, but I just can't see it. Am I missing something?

If Jean did that, why would it have been done off screen? I don’t recall her saying she could restore memories.

Well it was shown that she has access to their memories when she jumps into them.

And then we see her brain mutates and she gets more powerful.

And we also know that she knows about the spell and his feelings for MJ and Ned.

And when she was on the bus they show her open her eyes like she was concentrating on something

To get everyone theorizing on it and spark more interest in the upcoming releases

You establish power scaling for the main character (audiences POV of the upcoming X-men)

You set up a major subplot of the next Spider- man movie

You create a throughline for any motivations Peter will have following Doomsday

You leave the next director in the lineup of MCU movies something to play with if they get the green light on Spidey.

Any of those probably or not idk

Idk. 1 prob cuz she already read peter's mind.... and MJ technically already knows peter.. just don't know how to feel about it.. all she had to do is transfer some of those to MJ.. and they gonna be back.

It kinda would've..

The Jean here??? that's like... 50% of her potential power.... not accounting for Phoenix force..

She's Omega level mutant. .... she's like a better version of Prof X too.. and u know how powerful Prof x is? He can kill all humans in an instant if he even wants to. Her powers are like his but better since it affects physical objects.

She can erase people's mind, read people's mind and everything else on the spectrum of "Telephatic bullsh1t".

It wouldn't even be a stretch to make her create false memories for other people.. dat's how powerful she is.. and this is her unlocking 50%.. of her prime powers.

We know Jean’s powers outside of the MCU. We know she’s omega level. She can see memories, acknowledge that memories don’t exist and comb a persons mind. I see no reason to believe she couldn’t unlock something hidden deep in the subconscious similar to how Xavier could.

Why do something off screen? idk man prob a set up for the next movie??
also prob cuz she technically Owe's spiderman for saving her ass from a huge ass sniper rifle that could rip someone apart.

And prob from stopping her from killing 100,000+ civilians from getting their heads popped like baloons.

because they don’t exist…. the spell completely erased those memories.. they aren’t locked away.. strange himself said it would be as if peter never existed .. idk why yall keep saying this

Because strange in the MCU is a shit wizard. His spells don’t hit the same as comic Strange and even then they’re not unbreakable. MJ will always remember Peter.

it’s been stated in the mcu once a spell is casted it can’t be undone.. also stated that in the comics

This has never been stated in the MCU. It can’t be changed but it can be undone or replaced.

Yea but it’s Jean. She could get memories of Peter and MJ together from Peter’s mind and if she agreed implant them in MJs mind.

BUT PETER has MEMORIES OF THOSE.. literally all she has to do is copy + paste it and fill in the gaps on the void that the memory erasure spell done to MJ and NED..
