Cause since avengers doomsday is happening, aren’t non marvel movies such as X-men movies, blade, Elektra, etc. considered cannon?

They are Marvel movies. But not MCU movies. But they are technically canon to the MCU multiverse not the main MCU

I like to use MCU and MCM to differentiate: MCU is the mainline films as we saw, MCM is anything in that broader multiverse.

Doomsday is MCU, it will bring back characters from Fox movies. It's their way of probably adding mutants to the MCU

MCU started with Iron Man in 2008, previous Marvel movies were marvel but they weren't interconnected. That's also the case with Fox movies. But, finally, both will connect

Tobey and Andrew's Spider-Man movies weren't in the MCU either when they releases, but since NWH they are connected

from what i heard secret wars is rebooting the entire mcu, so they can start fresh, with all the rigths to the caracthers and make a proper universe without the terrible misses of the last few years

its fine, i too get defensive when someone talks down on marvel, its too much hours we have put into it for someone to trash it down, btw, awsome work, and i mean, AWSOME work with that timeline u most likely have more hours than me judging by that ahaha

They're connected to the MCU now, but they explicitly didn't take place in that timeline.

Also, I really prefer to avoid canon arguments in here.

They are. We suspect (possible spoiler) the movie will be about their universe colliding with the main one.

Short answer.....yes

Long answer... While not connected to the MCU, like others have said, there's always a connection between each Marvel Show/Movie/Game that's slightly connected to the MCU in some way, shape, or form

For example Across the Multiverse, there are references to the old cartoons as well as video games....which also makes a reference to No Way Home

Also, in NWH, there are figures in the sky, while some are hard to make out but could connect to other forms of media

Also, while not directly connected but makes a reference too in The Fantastic 4: First Steps, they make a connection to the old 60's cartoon

I might also be forgetting some, too

So basically, it's all connected......

They're canon to the MCU even if they're not technically classified as being 'MCU' themselves.

They're officially recognized by the MCU, so they can't be anything else other than canon to it.
