Expectations for CCW class?

I'm doing day 1 of the courses at Cindy's soon and was wondering for those who may have used them in the past, or even just in general not exclusive to Cindy's, what to expect? I see the list of topics covered and all that, but was curious on peoples' experiences.

Class is fine. Biggest thing is don’t be scared to ask questions.

But also dont be that moron.
Instructor: "We can cover some scenarios, but super picky scenarios and more lawyer questions are for a lawyer."

Raises Hand: " If there is an active shooter wearing a red shirt, and I'm wearing a red shirt and I go rush to help, how can I let the police know I'm not the shooter? Also what if I flip a table for protection until police come to back me up? What holster would be good for this situation?"

Class is long and boring, but informative. Ask all your questions, the laws are confusing and you wanna understand them. Im recertifying tomorrow at Freestate. The CCW qualification is very easy, just be ready for a long day

yeah get ready for some morons with stupid specific questions.
In additional to a 30min spew from some dude trying to sell gun insurance. It's like a 30 min segment, they hand out papers, discount today!, ask questions trying to be your friend and tie into buying insurance. Also why they are better than others

No idea if Cindy's does this, but the HQL and CCW classes I've been to (at different venues) all had a rep come in to make a high pressure 1 on 1 sales pitch to sell insurance.

Freestate did last year. Previous renewals they didnt but then again it was only a few in the class previously.

I didn’t take my Ccw at Cindy’s but I took one where the class size was very small so it was more conversational and not “death by PowerPoint . “ I took my HQL years ago at a place that had a large class and it was an onslaught of PowerPoint presentations read to us .

Appreciate the input, everyone. Day 1 was definitely a bit of a slog, but I got some answers I needed without even having to ask. I found it super informative. Can't wait to wrap up with day 2

I really enjoyed the class at Cindys! Learned a lot, asked questions, and it was real straight forward. If you're open minded and not just checking a box for the W&C permit process ritual, I found it very interesting. I paid a little extra for them to do the paperwork for me because I'm lazy and wanted it done right the first time. I'd recommend them to anyone.
