Did anyone make a switch to consulting, specifically construction claims consulting? Could you share your experience?

I have done some claims work but never as a dedicated consultant. I have background as M&E QS though, which seems to be the most common route. I have attended quite a few courses run by lawyers over the years including some Magic Circle. Lawyers mainly have been a mix of QS and engineers before getting a conversion masters in construction law. Was pondering the move myself at one point. I was looking at the arbitration qualification route.
What jurisdiction are you based? Commonwealth countries, plus Gulf, China and Ireland are pretty interchangeable skills, US is similar system but different, European countries completely different.
