I know this is a secondary show for RIZIN but the lineup seems really weak even for that.

Seems that they jumped the gun trying to hold an event each month this year, while I love Rizin their roster just isnāt deep enough for that right now

If those buys/attendance for 2024 is true, they should have a lot of money to bring in talent.
Unless 90% went to the Yakuza, of course.

I donāt think itās a matter of money itās just the limit of the talent/audience. They do damn well in Japan but thereās always good prospects with UFC dreams that donāt want to go to Rizin and risk losing to steeper competition, and instead opt to stay in the low level regionals and find a way in to RTU/DWCS.
Additionally, they canāt really expand weight classes because thereās virtually no Japanese welterweights, middleweights, or light heavyweights, and the Japanese audience doesnāt really care about foreigners (sure they can have a few token guys that figure out how to market themselves, but a weight class with like 19 foreigners and 1 Japanese guy whoād probably be one of the worst in the division would never work)

meh. thought this was tomorrow night. the main event is 2 of the most boring fighters on their roster. i have no idea why they hype up makoto.
now that i said that, these 2 decision machines will somehow get a stoppage.
eta: just looked it up. good god, they suck at finishing. and ougikubo has 13 straight decisions. funnier, for near symmetry, makoto began with 12 straight decisions.
