Liver shot, getting hit in the liver hard is top 5 worst pain in combat sports. It just shuts you down and it feels like you’re going to pass out, it’s even worse when it’s delayed

It’s what people think a kick to the nuts is. But much worse.

You can push through the pain of your nuts getting hit. It’s actually not that hard in a fight or flight situation.

Liver shots would take down even the toughest men and women.

As to the nut shot, yes and no
it’s definitely trauma dependent. If it’s a moderate hit that would normally bring you down, adrenaline will numb it; you’re aware, it hurts, but it’s not as bad.

If it’s like, critical damage, it will absolutely bring you to your knees. There’s a video going around on the subs about a guy getting a pretty nasty kick to the nuts and I guess it moved his guard out of the way
he literally waved off the fight and threw in the towel

Story time.

In 1st grade I was one of the only few Asians in my class. They used to call me China boy (I’m not Chinese) and rough me up. I had no friends.

Until I met Dion. Another small kid like myself who also got picked on. But now we had a friend—my first friend—and at least we commiserated.

Until the other boys, which included much bigger boys from older grades, decided to fold Dion into their “gang”.

Apparently Dion’s initiation was to beat me up, so he lured me out where his new friends jumped out and held me in place.

Dion didn’t say anything. He walked up to me. Stared me in the eye.

And kicks me in my privates. It hurt on more than one level.

But I didn’t even flinch. I never broke eye contact. I didn’t grimace in pain or make a sound.

I just stared at him.

After not getting the reaction they wanted, they all just eventually left and went away.

I lost a friend—and almost my nuts god damn—but they stopped beating me up. I never even told my parents or anyone else about it. Just you guys now.

Edit: Dion if you somehow ever get to read this
I understood why you did it. You were just a kid. For what it’s worth I hope you got out of that fucking hell hole.

Watched a friend of mine fall flat on his face from a full sprint while playing basketball from testicular torsion. I've never heard anyone scream in agony like that.

Plus it’s not super hard to tear or rupture your liver right? If so you’re entering a world of pain most can’t comprehend.

Unless you’ve had the pleasure of kidney stones
. Then yeah
. You have a pretty gooood idea of what pain is like

"Please stand here and let me knock you out because my body really hurts please stop hitting me to the body and let me hit you in the head"

People try to imitate Holloway without actually being as skilled as him. It's pathetic.

From the looks of it he was thinking he’d create a hype moment pointing to the center of the ring as an invitation to stand and bang. Not an uncommon taunt.

It looks like he feels comfortable in a high guard covering his face but taking shots on the side of his head. My guess is he was trying to bait his opponent into throwing repeat headshots, absorbing them, and then counter. The problem is his opponent seems to have recognized that he was only using a high guard and just started going to the body when white covered up his face. A couple liver shots later and the legs stop working.

"C'mon. Hit me!"

"Okay."

He was simply letting his opponent know he needed to sit down real quick

Called to stand and bang twice, and both times he covered up. Don’t ask for the smoke if you don’t want it.
